  1. Yeah Verlander's actually still awesome. Full season > 3 games. Congrats to the Rangers on their second straight AL pennant. First team to do so since the 1998-2001 Yankees (in the AL).
  2. I hear red font proves your point. Anyway, Theo is one of the best GMs in baseball and the Cubs will greatly benefit from him. I'm excited to see how Cherington does.
  3. Fred is a Rangers and Cardinals fan now I think.
  4. Ortiz to the Yankees would be a completely drama-less move, I'm sure.
  5. It's f***ing embarrassing. Everyone in this organization needs to shut the f*** up. This off-season is already a nightmare, and it's still mid-October. Ugh.
  6. The Yankees didn't lose to the hot wild card team, they lost to a team that only lost 2 more games than they did. Just because the big teams don't make it far doesn't mean it's not great. Both of these series are a treat to watch.
  7. The DH thing is just speculation by the author. So how does this work if it's just the Astros moving over and no counter move? Interleague throughout the season? Can't tell if that's cool or annoying.
  8. 1. If the Red Sox won 91 games, then fried chicken, beer and video games would be the key to their chemistry. 2. The smear job against Francona is infuriating. I fully expect to see one against Theo as well.
  9. And the starting rotation is forced to go straight-edge vegan.
  10. Thanks for playing a huge role in the best era in Red Sox history, Theo. Best of luck in Chicago. Now I don't have a connection to the FO. Brb, gonna go get chummy with Ben Cherington.
  11. So, f*** most of the 2011 Red Sox.
  12. Verlander is pitching Game 5 though.
  13. John Lackey had a better W-L than Doug Fister. It's not indicative of performance or skill.
  14. Tigers beat the Yankees twice with Not-Verlander starting. Not over.
  15. Gonna say Tigers in 7.
  16. I'll take Brewers in 6. This should be a good one. Seems like the teams genuinely dislike each other (Zack Greinke: "Nobody really likes Carpenter").
  17. Pretty sure nobody picked the Cardinals to beat the Phillies. Baseball is cool. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/4/4e/2011_NLCS.gif http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/e/e6/St._Louis_Cardinals_Logo.svg/216px-St._Louis_Cardinals_Logo.svg.png v. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/1/11/Milwaukee_Brewers_Logo.svg/176px-Milwaukee_Brewers_Logo.svg.png St. Louis Cardinals (90-72) at Milwaukee Brewers (96-66) Game Matchup Day Date Time TV Gm 1 STL @ MIL Sun Oct 9 4:05 PM TBS Gm 2 STL @ MIL Mon Oct 10 8:05 PM TBS Gm 3 MIL @ STL Wed Oct 12 8:05 PM TBS Gm 4 MIL @ STL Thu Oct 13 8:05 PM TBS Gm 5* MIL @ STL Fri Oct 14 8:05 PM TBS Gm 6* STL @ MIL Sun Oct 16 4:05 PM TBS Gm 7* STL @ MIL Mon Oct 17 8:05 PM TBS Pitching Matchups: Jaime Garcia (13-7, 3.56 ERA, 1.32 WHIP) v. 19. Good luck to the Yankees in the ALCS. Wait what? But Jacko told me...
  20. *Cocoa. Get with it.
  21. 7-3 in the 4th. Just your average playoff game.
  22. Didn't see this going 5 games. Neat.
  23. Yeah, my name needs a little more relevance.
  24. Yeah I'm gonna go with a700. Kyle Weiland and Andrew Miller can have all the heart they want, they still suck a bag of dicks.
