  1. The backstop sure is getting a lot of action today.
  2. True, they're guaranteed to split those.
  3. I'd be really surprised if he didn't re-up with the Yanks.
  4. They've had bigger signings, that were slotted to have bigger roles on the team, that busted just as bad. Clement, Renteria, Lugo, Lackey, etc.
  5. Bummer. Hope the reverse lock comes into play tomorrow.
  6. Probably would have gone Paps as well. Joel Peralta in for the 9th. Salty-Crawford-Aviles. Send it to extras, at least.
  7. Gonzo-Ortiz-Reddick. Time for some big things.
  8. Bard's gotta hold down the fort here. No easy task in September, or against Upton-Longoria-Zobrist.
  9. Matt Moore coming in for the Rays. Should be entertaining, at least.
  10. What were the blown calls?
  11. Good stuff. It's nice to see the pen come through. Another big one tomorrow.
  12. No Youk isn't a big loss tonight. He's been awful recently, and he's clearly hurt. Anyway, win the baseball game. This is huge.
  13. This one was a must-win for the Rays and they came out very strong. Let's see if the Sox can do the same tomorrow.
  14. I'm hanging my hat on the fact that the playoffs are more or less a crapshoot. Just have to get in. Sox won't be going in strong, and they're banged up, but in a short series you never know.
  15. Fenway, Old YS, New YS, Shea, Camden, Nationals, Citizens Bank, Wrigley, US Cellular, Turner, Safeco, Coors. Been to each of them once, except Fenway (a lot) and Camden (5ish). On MeanWalrus' note, the most memorable games I've been to are: Game 5 of the 2004 ALCS, Game 1 of the 2007 WS, Game 4 of the 2003 ALCS, Dice-K's first game at Fenway (against Felix Hernandez, too), and a game in 2001 (maybe) when Scott Hatteberg hit a grand slam and hit into a triple play. That has to be the only time that's happened, right?
  16. What a s*** loss. Go O's.
  17. Those were pitches that Youk should be crushing off the wall.
  18. Alright come on, it's Frank Francisco. The only things he can throw are chairs.
  19. Well, f***. So much for the reliable setup man.
  20. Bard in September has been unfathomably bad.
  21. None of this please, Danny.
  22. Nothing like an unexplained Gonzalez exit to bring my mood down.
  23. Oh man, I cringed as I saw Lawrie was going to barrel into Tek.
