    Friggin McCarver..."I think Cabrera forgot how many outs there were." What a dumb ass. If you watch, Manny looked pretty shaky on the fly ball and when he saw that he got a bit more agressive. The guy has made a career of being wrong. Game 1 and he's already on my fkn nerves.

    I agree with that Crunch. When I listened to her getting all choked up I just had to laugh. Growing up a Sox fan in south central ct., where loyalties are split pretty much 50/50, I must say that everything the Sox/anyone associated with the Sox, ever did that might be questionable, unprofessional, etc was always thrown in our faces. It's wonderful to be able to look south-westward and chuckle at what goes on down in the Bronx.

    I like to bust on Suzyn because I think she sucks (still remember her "beautiful pitch...an 0-2 fastball right down the middle") but I don't have an issue with her getting choked up...I guess because of the very fact that I know she sucks in the first place. So what's the big deal? She blows, this is just another example of what most people already know.

    Think of how tough it must be to be a Yankees fan sometimes...you're all excited about a big game, you put it on and there is Waldman blathering about something...got to be frustrating and it certainly must take some of the starch out of the experience... it's like after a wild night with a hot babe and she says "you're the best lover I've ever had...even better than Magic Johnson."

    Raja won me the pool today...I was at a party and we had a Raja under-over IP pool...I tied with my brother in-law...but won the tie breaker which was "what body part will cause his removal this time" So utterly predictable.

    When I go to NYC I never even have to think about wearing Sox stuff or not...it's intuitive...ya just don't do it. A guy wearing Sox stuff in New York, though, doesn't mean the beating is justified, only means that he has no common sense and/or was likely pushing some foks buttons. There's *******s in every city, why give them what they view as an excuse to show how despicable they are?

    I would not be surprised if the Crunchy prediction were to be accurate...my gut tells me that should be the way things work out. Personally, though, I have to stay (slightly) open to the possibility things don't go that way, as you never know what'll happen...and a staying reserved helps me to buffer the pain later.

    It is very easy to overanalyze potential scenarios, and many do...and are. Obviously every win puts you closer to advancing, so it makes absolute sense that you'd want to win the first game of any series. We all know that. Let's see what happens, then see who is in trouble..then see how they deal with it.

    XYZ? I am at this very moment listening to a band called XYZ. They were a heavy metal band (big hair type) in the late 80's, early 90's. Thier lead guitar player was from my home town and used to take guitar lessons from the same guy as I did...He was 15 I was 20 and I'd sometimes hear the end of his lesson and be embarrassed to play after that because he was like 500 times better than me. Anyway, I'm not predicting, there is only one team I want to win, and to be honest if it ain't the Sox I could not care less who wins.
