  1. Tim got hit rather hard last night if I recall
  2. see that towel biter...looked like he might be a pillow biter too. did they film "Brokeback" in Colorado?
  3. I suspect the Sox score again this game anyway nice stall job by the IF
  4. Not any worse than the jerk-off the Yanks use...you know the fat-ass tenor. Wish that fker would always sing tenor...ten or 11 miles away.
  5. 7th inning stretch I love my country I could do without this though
  6. great job by Mo tonite... and Dellcarmen does his job too
  7. Lugo was acquired to be a better hitting SS than what they'd had the prior year...just has not worked out that way.
  8. They interviewed Tom Werner before game 7 in Boston (vs Cleveland) and asked him if he thought about handing out towels to fans...he just laughed and said our fans don't need that...this place is always electric.
  9. The Fogg has rolled out. And right now Dice is just plain rolling.
  10. That's a good point 700. I've thought of that as well...similarly, if the Sox win it this year, they've again "purchased some goodwill" so to speak, which could project on how they move forward into 2008.
  11. Please be more specific...exactly who is it that you are referring to?
  12. couldn't agree more JMC.
  13. I think a lot of people were down on him due to attitude and what not. Who'd have guessed he'd become a team guy...usually players are who they are and they don't change, but Moss really has bought into the Pats philosophy....but also: I think the Pats have made a concerted effort to let him be a "star" because they recognize his not only his special abilities but his innate need for attention/applause, etc. Its been a win-win to this point.
  14. Dude, some of us have ben Sox fans for 20, 30, 40 years. Take it from us, there never was a curse...the Red Sox were simply not good enough. It is the manager's job to make that change, period. All competetive pitchers (well except Clemens, he woulda been out of there after 4 with a (fill in the blank) __________ injury) would have wanted to stay in. You don't leave that decision up to the pitcher. If you recall, the combo of Embree, Timlin and Williamson had been virtually unhittable...I'm not sure they'd given up an earned run in the series. This was the year of the bullpen by committee, and down the stretch they had developed one of the best back ends of the BP in baseball. Yet Grady chooses not to use them??? Pedro gets no blame because he deserves no blame. 2003's result was Little's doing. You could even see when Pedro finished the 7th, some guys were hugging him, as if he were done. Then when he came out for the 8th, Theo and the owners were shown shaking their heads. And after Jeter's hit they were like "what the fk?" And after every other hit they looked more shocked and pissed. Everyone in the park, everyone watching at home knew it was the wrong move to leave Pedro in. Little fkn blows and if not for him the Sox might be going for their 3rd WS title in 4 years.
  15. So cna I BUT...in that situation if you get caught stealing, fine, you tried something and it didn't work...but you can't risk getting picked with that part of the line-up coming up and trailing.
  16. Hammr, "Rician" is the form "Centerfield", and I swear this morning I was just thinking what the hell happened to you. Hope all is well with you.
  17. Exactly Kilo. Polian files a complaint and I'm guessing someone in the media asked Dungy if this scheduling is difficult on a team...and he says yeah, its harder. Now he's prtrayed as complaining. This is a non-story, or should be, but the media is doing what it feels is there job, I guess, by blowing things out of proportion.
  18. I watched most of game 2 at a sports bar in the New Haven area. Loudest person there was a Yankee fan rooting for Colorado. We were treated to the 26 WC ********, Bucky Dent, Buckner, etc. My favorite part was when he said "Ortiz is the new version of Cecil Fielder...he either hits a HR or strikes out." Very entertaining to say the least. Fkn moron.
  19. When I was a Jr. in H.S. we were down by a couple to a team in our league...6th inning I single with 1 out and proceed to get picked off by their lefty pitcher. My coach screams across the field "where the hell are you going down 2 in the 6th." I never did that again...but heard about it many times from our coach. I was 16. This guy is a pro? Fkn disgraceful...yet I loved it.
  20. Wish I could say I was as stable as you folks during game 7. When the game got to 3-2 I went to the medicine cabinet, grabbed an Alprozolam and hit the fridge for a beer to head off my impending torment and promptly....fell the f*** asleep. Woke up and the thrashing was on. I'll never be the same after 2003...even 2004 couldn't cure me.
