  2. AP That's why it gets done.
  3. Does that make what he did any better?
  4. This is what, the 5th time the link has been posted?
  5. If the deal if Bucholz/Hansen, I think it needs to get done.
  6. Looks like I might be driving to Boston to kick Theo in the nuts. Although I still think he'll sign, I'm not as confident as I once was. http://redsox.bostonherald.com/redSox/view.bg?articleid=171334&format=&page=1

  8. Jeter, as much as I hate him, I respect him and the way he plays the game. Plus he's still the last Yankee I want up with the game on the line.
  9. Dude, face it. ORS consistently brings evidence to his arguments and all you have is conjecture. There's nor evidence to say that Melky replicates last year this year. If he does, then you have something to hang your hat on.
  10. It's also a shame you need to bring into the discussion an event where American lives were lost. Baseball =/= war Cmon Gom, you're better than that.
  11. Youks Crisp Ortiz Manny Drew Lowell Tek Lugo Pedroia
  12. Yeah, wasn't he a starter at that point too? He did have a decnent '05 with the White Sox, though.
  13. A while ago, right? Why start with your highest offer? It's called NEGOTIATION.
  14. Rumor has it those deals with Texas/Cleveland make it so he has incentives worth $10+ mil, and that's too much of a risk for Gagne.
  15. Hold on a second. You comparing the Red Sox pitching injuries to the Yankees? Wang - 33 GS, 218 IP Johnson - 33 GS, 205 IP Mussina - 32 GS, 197.2 IP Wright - 27 GS, 140 IP (still made his starts) Chacon/Lidle/Ponson - 23 GS Compared to Sox: Schilling - 31 GS, 204 IP Beckett - 33 GS, 204.2 IP Wakefield - 23 GS, 140 IP (comparable to Wright, went down with Injury) Lester - 15 GS, 81.1 IP (went down with injury) Then you have the s*** crew of Jason Johnson/Kyle Snyder/Matt Clement - 43 GS. Wells - 8 starts, went down with injury Clement went down with injury. You're kidding youself if you don't think not having Wakefield and Wells instead of Johnson and Snyder gives us a better chance to win last year. The Yankees rotation problems are that Chacon got figured out and Pavan had sand in his vagina.
  16. The way I understand it is if the Sox don't sign him, the $51 mil comes back to them.
  17. It happens. Maybe if 60% of the rotation doesn't go on the DL this year we'll have a shot.
