Precipitation model for Sunday night....two feet of precipitation for the Boston area??
Could make things interesting for the passing game....
Jon Lester - 203 walks in 484 MiLB innings - One walk every 2.38 innings, or 2 1/3 innings.
Ian Kennedy - 52 walks in 149.1 MiLB innings - One walk ever 2.87 innings, 2 2/3 innings.
Man, huge difference there.
I'd really like to see Joba face lineups more than one time through as well. I cannot really remember ANY slider thrown for a strike by the guy, but let's be generous and say he throws 20% of them for strikes. His other pitches aren't as good yet and I really think hitters will adjust accordingly the 2nd, 3rd times through.
No one has ever doubted ARod's talent on a baseball field, however it is interesting to hear many Yankee fans (not necessarily here) call Schilling a blowhard and completely ignore the massive amounts of charity work he does.
Like I said in my OP, it'd be interesting to hear Yankee fans call Schilling disingenuous after this fiasco and the Jeter tax issue.
Watching the game last night I also have to say those 30+ MPH winds may have had something to do with the Pats struggles on Monday night.
That and the Ravens bent over for the greatness of Peyton and the Colts.
I also have to say....without getting into any religion in sports debates...that sometimes I get annoyed with athletes who praise God and give all the credit to him, only because I don't think they are sincere.
I will say I never felt that way about Tebow.
Well, JD Drew never put up the front of being a charitable person and then pocket over 90% of the funds for a fundrasier.
What were the Boston media going to find with Drew? That his wife was pregnant? His kid sick?

Interesting article. I guess Yankee fans will have a tough time saying how disingenuous Curt Schilling is after this one.
