    Lugo, in the second half of last season, put up these numbers: .280/.322/.406/.728 Those numbers are more than serviceable, and more in line with his career statistics: .271/.333/.395/.728 Taking defensive statistics into account, Lugo at $9mm is certainly a comparable value to Jeter at $20mm. Don't try to fool yourself. You really think Jeter is worth $20mm?

    He's the best defensive CF in baseball, with a fairly affordable contract, and he should be entering the prime of his career. Why the f*** wouldn't he want to start? Anyway, at this point I would hold on to Coco unless a legit offer comes up. He would be a very, very useful player for this team this season if he stays, regardless of what some posters say.

    This has to do with Clemens how? He wasn't under oath. This isn't rocket science. It's not the number of times he injected him, it's the fact he injected him. Who cares if it's 2, 4, or 24? Except for the nanny, whom Clemens tampered with. Knowing how everything played out this seems pretty smart, no? No real argument here. However, he did admit to dealing with those drugs under oath. He never explicitly made the connection between the two yesterday. No real argument here. Why didn't Clemens do more research into McNamee? he seemed very comfortable working with him. Why does this surprise you? McNamee has said on numerous occasions that he didn't want to give Clemens up or was never coerced. Clemens decided to play the tape. Clemens brought that on himself. McNamee is a sleazeball. How does this exonerate Clemens? Here's a reason he wouldn't lie about Petttitte and Knoblauch - they backed his story.

    I tend to agree with YH's view of the trade, I don't think it's AS horrible, but it's still a lot to give up for Kidd. Still, Dallas gets the playmaker it needs. I'm also excited to see Marcus Williams get his shot.

    Shaq will be able to match up with Duncan, Ming, etc. in the playoffs. The team, as presently constructed, was not going to win a championship, and those matchups were a big reason why. Also, look at when his contract is coming off the books. If they were to keep Marion, they'd have to sign him to a long term deal. As is, his contract comes off the books in '10.
