    Got this idea from another board. We'll go pick by pick of the first round of the NFL draft, getting a board consensus and we'll see how it stacks up against the actual NFL Draft. The discussion will last every few days. No wishy-washy ********, either. Make a definitive pick. Pick 1 - The Miami Dolphins select... My vote is for Jake Long, OT out of Michigan. In my opinion, this draft class doesn't have a sure-fire, can't miss #1 pick. Because that is the case, I feel (a) no team will want to trade with the Fins for the pick, and ( they will take the "safest" player available. Jake Long will do a few things for the Dolphins, most notably make their best player, Ronnie Brown, better. I'm not sold on Ryan or Chris Long, and I think Dorsey's injury costs him a few spots. What say you?

    Are we really punishing Francona for certain players not living up to expectations? Does Francona get credit for the emergence and success of the rest of the players? Of course not - so why should he get the blame when others underperform? I would really like to know what Francona should have done differently.

Fact - Jeter is a much better offensive shortstop Fact - Lugo is a better fielder and better baserunner than Jeter The case could then be made that the value of Jeter at $20mm is not so much higer than Lugo at $9mm. Look, I never said Lugo was the better value, just that the difference isn't as vast as many would like to believe.
