  1. way to go gonzo--this is the 5th inning we have had the leadoff guy on....now let's do something with it!
  2. Great job wake----now we get back to the plate. Ohh wait gonzo is leading off
  3. Ahhh there it is--i have been waiting for the aaron boone moment from ESPN and there it is!
  4. There goes the lucky one--let's hope the luck goes with him! The funny thing is that chacon can't even win the game now!
  5. You can rationalized it anyway you want--the fact remains he has been an lucky escape artist tonight!!
  6. Come on trot---geez 3-1 you wait for your pitch (which is a fastball) and you end up swinging at a breaking ball low and away and popping up---knucklehead!
  7. That may have been the greatest AB of the year!
  8. This just sucks, we can't buy a break tonight. We can't catch a break and the yanks are getting them and hitting in key spots!
  9. Wow, what else can go the yanks way tonight. I saw the replay on both YES an ESPN and it looked fair (real close though). Due to the fact that after it was past the bag by 3 feet when it bounced it barely was on the outside of the chalk---that would lead me to believe it was fair. Oh well if the yanks don't win tonight, they have noone to blame after all these breaks. One thing that worries me though is that with the yanks getting everything going their way----i am afraid the 5th inning will come and then the sky will open up and they call the game---that would suck!
  10. Hasn't Hideki played in like 500plus consecutive games? Sad if he is hurt bad he's a great player!
  11. i can't get to the game yet---and no gamecast!! are they actually going to be able to get it in with the weather?
  12. Could be---i am not saying that it is related. I just thought that it was an interesting statistic, that's all!
  13. I had a lot of problems and this is what stopped them--i highly recomend it: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=7424566&type=product&productCategoryId=cat08029&id=1122655672469
  14. Shill is back on the field now---and they are keeping it from the public for "medical privavy" Who knows, let's hope all is ok!
  15. Nice comparison considering papi is a DH:rolleyes: I don't think you can deny that if you ask a manager in the bigs who he would rather have on his team---they would take papi 9 out of 10 times!
  16. Just heard on WEEI that Shill has been taken to the hospital in a Yankee van. The sox say it's a non-baseball related injury!
  17. I know that this would be tough to do logisticaly---but it certainly makes the most sense!
  18. Before the 133 pitch game, shill's ERA was 1.29. Since the 133 pitch outing, his ERA is over 7. I am not saying one thing has to do with the other, because they played different opponents---but it is certainly interesting!
  19. Not looking too good: http://www.weather.com/weather/hourbyhour/USNY0172?from=36hr_topnav_undeclared The rain looks to start around 7 with a 30%chance and then get stronger as the night goes on! This sucks!
  20. What?? Wake is pitching tonight. He has the best chance to go deep into a game, especially if he's on tonight!
  21. Well said--let's make sure he is 100% before he comes back! Oh and yea, people are going to be really upset to see harris back in pawtucket!
  22. The funny thing is; i only spent about 3 minutes on ESPN last night and watched the rest of the game on YES (can't get NESN with MLB Extrainnings on away games) The YES broadcast was far superior to that of ESPN. They actually focussed on the game and not all their new shows, promos, ect.... The really funny part is that the YES team was less homeristic than the ESPN crew. I expect the YES guys to be homers, and that's fine because it is YES---but at least they are fair about the game and give credit where credit is due. After all is said and done though, i would rather watch NESN!
  23. He's still a fraud though. He will get his numbers during the year and choke it away when it matters!
  24. true, but tito added to the destruction by putting harris in center. the bottom of our order were a sure thing for mussina all night long. Everytime we got him out of his game the bottom of our order put him back in the groove!
  25. I understood why tito did it yesterday (sort of) but it still didn't make sense. Having harris and gonzo (despite his game 1 heroics) at the bottom of the lineup made it easy for mussina last night---he knew that he had 2 easy outs at the bottom of the order and the sox had trouble turning the order over. I have been one of tito's biggest supporters, but this one was not defensable!
