  1. Well i am not as down on clement as everyone else---it just seems like this guy gets the shaft all the time. He gets pushed back a long time so we can line up who we want for the yank series--and then he has to pitch on a night like tonight! I would be pissed if i were him. As far as lowe goes, i always like him and wished he wouldn't have left. One thing you can say about D-Lowe though---he knows how to pitch in big games! With that said there is no way this FO brings him back here!
  2. Wow, worst case scenerio is they may have to do 3 doubleheaders back to back to back! Would they even do that if all this weekend was rained out?
  3. WEEI just said that the rain is close and should start raining no later than 5 and not stop! Great!
  4. Great point! I think the yanks are more apt to find a stop-gap until they comeback. Also let's not forget that sheff is probably only gone for 2 weeks and then they are just short matsui. I don't think they are going to panic, i think they will wait and see what happens. Of course this all depends on the extent of matsui's injury---it could be a lot worse than we all know!
  5. Clement wasn't happy about getting pushed back, so let's hope he can put that frustration into Texas. That is of course if we get the game in because it's not looking good. 90% - 100% after 7 tonight:(
  6. I am glad we got this game in because it's not looking to good for getting some games in over the weekend!
  7. I agree---it's not like it's nearing the end of september and this is happening. The yanks will go out and do something soon though---becuase i don't think hideki is in for a short rehab, he may be gone for the year!
  8. Exactly, someone just needs more attention!
  9. So what is the longest in talksox history?
  10. Ok, try and pay attention. I never said it was a theory--i was just pointing it out and found it interesting. Remy even said something about it tonight on the pre-game show. I have never said one was linked to the other--i just pointed it out. Ohh and as far as stats go: he had an ERA of 1.29 before that game and an ERA of 7plus since---those are stats!
  11. That gave me a good laugh!
  12. Which is exactly why a lot of yankee fans are worried right now. It's still early in the year though! The one thing i would be concerned about is matsui---sounds like it could be a tricky injury especially if he needs surgery---time will tell i guess!
  13. Uhh, not even worth it this late!
  14. Come on---you know we mean during the gamethread when the yanks are losing.. get a good nights sleep though!
  15. This should be good--let me get a beer and then please go ahead!
  16. You sure you should be talking about facial expressions??
  17. Please explain this to me---especially after everything we had happen to us tonight!
  18. I agree, Kay grinds on my last nerve.. I have just been surprised how their coverage was good and fair (still annoying). I would rather watch NESN any day of the week though!
  19. Holy papelboner batman!!!!
  20. I agree, I would have liked to see Foulke finish it off! Just shows you that Tito still doesn't trust Fouke and he knows it!
  21. One thing i liked about YES (and trust me i am not trying to defend them) is that on pitches that were close (on both sides) they showed the knee angle and the overhead shot so there was no confusion. ESPN isn't even doing their K-Zone for some reason....mabey it was showing up the umps?
  22. crap, foulke has been doing well of late! Of course the wind completly dies down as soon as the yanks come up! Even the BSPN guys are commenting on that!
  23. Surprisingly i have thought that the YES coverage has been far superior to ESPN. I saw YES the first 2 game and though i would try ESPN tonight. At least YES focusses on the game and doesn't have "updates" every 7 minutes regarding baroid and the boxer that died today! I would rather watch NESN, but YES has been fair in my opinion!
  24. someone tell lowell that your supposed to hit fly balls when guys are on third!
