  1. Thanks again SFoC for doing this!
  2. Nice article: http://www.boston.com/sports/football/patriots/extra_points/2010/01/willie_weighs_i.html
  3. Pees actually stepped down: http://espn.go.com/blog/boston/new-england-patriots/post/_/id/4674202/dean-pees-statement Sounds like he had prostrate cancer last summer and treatment was successful. He has had other health issues this season so who knows if he was forced to step down or if it was over health reasons.
  4. Here's a link: http://patsblog.projo.com/2010/01/pees-fired-as-d.html
  5. WEEI just said the pats fired Dean Pees...if they were going to do this I would have thought they were going to bring back RAC. Who knows where it's going now. Although if I were to guess, I would guess Pepper Johnson or Matt Patricia would step up for the DC job.
  6. Nice find, proves the argument and makes me throw up all at once!
  7. While letting Samuel go I didn't agree with, you do realize that he left in the 08 offseason....but he did play in the superbowl. In fact he had a couple chances to end the game and had the potential INT's go right through his hands.
  8. I understand what you said, but Brady is in the prime of his career (age wise). Hoyer is here now but he'll probably leave via FA by the time Brady retires. Brady has said he wants to play till he's 40....I just don't see the need to find a replacement. If he's like this next year then we can worry....but I think he'll come back and have a great year next year. I don't think he had a terrible year this year, it just wasn't up to his standards which are very high. This was a tough time for Brady to come back from a major knee injury, he couldn't be what he was yet and in addition we have a new OC. There were a lot of things going against the pats offense this year.
  9. We don't know what we have in Obrian yet. McDaniels turned out well and he was terrible in his first year (2005). Pats need to resign Wilfork, unless he wants so much it hampers them elsewhere. We don't need to 'blow it up', we already did last offseason and that's the reason we were in this situation to begin with. We need a vocal defensive leader like Bruschi or Harrison of course.....but where do you find one? We have the talent on defense, but it is raw and doesn't have the defensive leadership needed to put things in order on the field. We don't need a successor to Brady, are you serious? Brady played bad today and wasn't up to his standards this year. This is very common however for QB's coming back from the injury he had....no QB's are 'back to normal' that first year. In addition Brady had a ton of injuries this year that they haven't talked about. Combine the injuries this year, and the time away mentally from the game because of the knee and we were probably expecting too much from him. Building up the WR position is needed however since Welker may not be back next year.....and even if he is we can't expect much out of him.
  10. AFC WC: Pats over Ravens AFC WC: Bengals over Jest NFC WC: Cowboys over Eagles NFC WC: Packers over Cardinals AFC D: Pats over Charger AFC D: Colts over Bengals NFC D: Cowboys over Vikings NFC D: Saints over Packers AFC: Pats over Colts NFC: Cowboys over Saints Superbowl: Pats over Cowboys It doesn't look good for the pats, but I will never pick against them. I never thought I would pick the Cowboys with Wade as coach, but they are playing the best right now and that's what you need.
  11. I like this deal, great utility guy. WEEI was reporting that Hall was owed 6.5 mil next year, and the M's were going to eat part of it.
  12. I've heard the same thing. I haven't been to dirt dogs in a while, guess I need to go back and see what they are doing. It's like a train wreck, you can't help but look.
  13. Congrats on the win. Thanks to everyone that played for a good season!
  14. let's not forget Granderson's numbers are from Comerica which isn't exactly a bat friendly park. He will put up good numbers playing in Yankee stadium this year.
  15. Joe Flacco available, looking for RB/WR help.
  16. Good time for a rest
  17. VT vs. Nebraska should be a good game today. Hopefully Nebraska will shut up all these obnoxious VT fans.
  18. Reiss is the best and most credible pats beat writer....i wish him the best with ESPNboston. This just means i don't have to go to the globe anymore.
  19. I loved how he still brought up the tuck rule...at least he's not bitter
  20. Al giving the play by play: http://www.boston.com/sports/football/patriots/extra_points/2009/09/according_to_al.html
  21. Seymore shows up in Oakland: http://www.boston.com/sports/football/patriots/extra_points/2009/09/richard_seymour_5.html
  22. Mich 31 - ND 26.........ND just intercepted and is threatening, good game
