We don't know what we have in Obrian yet. McDaniels turned out well and he was terrible in his first year (2005). Pats need to resign Wilfork, unless he wants so much it hampers them elsewhere.
We don't need to 'blow it up', we already did last offseason and that's the reason we were in this situation to begin with. We need a vocal defensive leader like Bruschi or Harrison of course.....but where do you find one? We have the talent on defense, but it is raw and doesn't have the defensive leadership needed to put things in order on the field.
We don't need a successor to Brady, are you serious? Brady played bad today and wasn't up to his standards this year. This is very common however for QB's coming back from the injury he had....no QB's are 'back to normal' that first year. In addition Brady had a ton of injuries this year that they haven't talked about. Combine the injuries this year, and the time away mentally from the game because of the knee and we were probably expecting too much from him. Building up the WR position is needed however since Welker may not be back next year.....and even if he is we can't expect much out of him.
