  1. -Welker is progressing nicely, hard to say how he will be this year if he get's back at all -Pats re-signed Burgess to a one year deal -Crable looks great and is finally healthy...He was a 3rd round pick a few years ago and has spent the last 2 years on IR, he could play a big role this year!
  2. Brandon Marshall traded to the Dolphins for a 2nd this year and a 2nd next year per Adam Schefter. AFC East getting tougher each day!
  3. Adam Schefter is reporting that the rumor of Big Ben to the Rams isn't going to happen.....he tweeted it's likelier that the Rams draft him #1
  4. I can't see how this is anything but a clear win for the Jets, something else must be going on here with Holmes that Pitt couldn't resolve.
  5. I checked for him daily and never saw him until today, good pick up.
  6. Good trade for both sides. Philly needs to go to Kolb now, and McNabb needed a change. It will be interesting to see what Shanahan can do for McNabb. Rumor is the Eagles had better offers on the table, but opted to let McNabb choose his destination from a few select teams.
  7. Let's hope Pap remembers he has his splitter this year.
  8. It can't get here quick enough. I love the night game: finish with Easter, get the kids to bed....then there are no distractions!
  9. Congrats to Butler.
  10. The pats have zero interest in Tebow. It would take a few years to get Tebow to the point that Brian Hoyer is now. He never took a snap from center his whole collegiate career...they will have to work on the basics with him before anything else. BB made sure everyone saw them by going to the north end with Tebow. Usually when BB wants someone they don't do that, my guess is he was doing his buddy Meyer a favor in getting Tebow some exposure.....and probably jump up his draft status if other teams think the pats are interested in him. Someone is sure to take a flyer on Tebow in the first 2 rounds, and I don't see the pats doing that. I could see them grabbing him if he's available in the late rounds, but he won't be there. There is a lot of interest in the 2nd round this year as deep as it is....and the pats have 3 2nd rounders. I just hope they use them instead of trading down for more pics. This could be a key draft for the pats for years to come!
  11. BB has said many times he doesn't like taking WR's high in the draft. It is a position that doesn't translate well from college to the NFL and he prefers to bring in guys that have already played in the NFL.
  12. He didn't know it was going to snow during the season either.
  13. Couldn't the browns have traded Quinn last year for Jay Cutler? Now they get rid of him for Hillis and some low round pics, wow.
  14. The wheels seem to be falling off on Big Ben: http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2010/03/11/long-time-pittsburgh-sportscaster-unloads-on-big-ben/
  15. With the threat of the lockout and the probability of a rookie salary cut looming, a lot of next years high round picks are coming out this year. It is a very deep draft with the the top 50picks probably getting first round grades. The Pats are set up nice with 4 picks in the top 53.
  16. Per Adam Schefter: I'm sure the pats were no where near this deal
  17. Adam Schefter reporting the pats have re-signed Leigh Bodden....good news!
  18. Peppers got way too much money, no way the pats were going to be anywhere close to the deal for him. I wish we would have gone after Boldin harder, but it looks like the sticking point was the fact that the pats wanted him to play out the last year of his contract while Baltimore extended him right away with a 3/25.
  19. The Jets D will be even better next year. They have 2 great corners and they will get back their starting nose tackle. If Sanchez progresses the Jets will be tough. Revis Island just got harder to throw on!
  20. This years draft is very deep with so many underclassmen coming out fearing the coming rookie salary crack down, and the work stoppage. The pats are set up nicely and I wouldn't be surprised to see them really work the draft for this year, possibly trading the oakland 1st next year for more in this draft. There is some speculation that with the depth of this years draft, the first two rounds have 1st round talent. If that's true, the Pats have potentially 4 1st round type pics. The pats have the talent, and will get more in the draft. However they lack that veteran leadership that led them to so many superbowls....that's something that needs to be addressed (and has to some point with Patten)
  21. Patten is 35 now so I don't expect a lot from him on the field. The main reason I think he is back is to mentor the younger guys, and be a leader in the lockeroom. Nice to see Wilfork deal close, next will be the Brady extension.
  22. I'm back now, been away for work. If there is still a spot I am interested, thanks.
  23. Congrats to A700...thanks again SFoC
