    NFL Draft

On a side note, NFLN has been so much better in draft coverage than ESPN (no big surprise i know). I like actually hearing analysis of the picks and how they will adjust to the NFL and their new team.......rather than Kiper reading off the college and combine stats.

    NFL Draft

Pack have had a great draft. Bottom line is they are a much better football team coming out of the draft than they were going in. It's also nice to have an offseason without the Favre soap opera surounding them.
  3. they signed 2 vets in the offseason and have guys coming back from injury. It was a logjam at cb so they help to clear some of it and clear cap room in the process.......not to mention getting something from a soon to be FA

    NFL Draft

Pats have had a good draft so far, especially considering they turned 2 3rd rounders this year into 2 2nd rounders next year

    NFL Draft

I'd be an alcoholic if I were a raiders fan
  6. It could also be the pats trying to get value from a guy who will be a FA soon. I was surprised, but the pats have gotten very deep at db through the draft and FA. EDIT: Trading Hobbes also frees up $2.25 from their cap

    NFL Draft

Should be fun! Too bad the sox/yanks wasn't a 1:00 game so I wouldn't have to flip back and forth....although not a terrible problem to have
  8. Cassel agrees to 6/$36 with the Chiefs http://www.nationalfootballpost.com/2009/04/breaking-chiefs-cassel-agree-to-six-year-deal/
  9. So much for the rumors that they were looking for a QB, wow.
  10. I don't mind the new blue top uni's and the new road one's i guess are ok. (i still prefer the previous one's) However I can't stand the hanging sox hat, stick to the old one. They could sell the hanging sox hat, just don't wear it on the field.

  13. I didn't get to tune in until later, what exactly happened to Baldelli?
  14. Some good news which was expected...but still good to hear: http://www.boston.com/sports/football/patriots/articles/2009/04/20/man_with_plans/
  15. I just threw up in my mouth a little, hope it's not true. Schefter in my opinion is the most reliable out there:

    NFL Draft

I have preferred NFLN's coverage in the past, so I will be staying away from ESPN.......besides, Mel Kiper's hair scares me!
  17. I thought he already retired.......Thanks and enjoy it Mike!

    NFL Draft

should be an interesting first day. This draft is loaded so there will be a lot of teams wanting to trade down, probably a lot of action between 20 and 40.
  19. Only problem is Sumerall didn't quit, he was outed. Personally I liked Madden, he made the game easier to understand for people that didn't follow the game very much. If there was ever someone in the room that didn't know football, it was easier to let them listen to him rather than ask me questions the whole time
  20. I remember a couple years ago Ortiz injured his legs (don't remember if it was a knee or what). He said he was healthy, but ever since then he hasn't been the same.
  21. Maybe it's me, but to me he looks completely different at the plate now. From 03-07 he had a much deeper squat in his stance and seemed to drive the ball with his lower body.....now he seems to be higher in his stance and trying to compensate with more upper-body through the swing.
  22. Should be interesting watching what Green can do. Lowrie should stay on the DL until his wrist is 100%, no reason to have it nagging all season. In a dream world we would be able to pick up hanley before the deadline As far as ocab goes, I wanted him to stay. He played great when he was here, but there's no way to tell what he would have done if he stayed. With that said though it was over 4 years ago, so it's a moot point now. I always heard there was something about ocab that the players/FO didn't like.....any idea if that is true and what it might be?
  23. The way it's supposed to rain once it starts it's a good thing they made the decision early...the last thing we want is for Beckett to go throw 2 innings and then have it called.
  24. The way he stated it was that he would take anyone in the yanks rotation against another teams #1. While the yanks rotation is vastly improved, would you take pettitte in September/October over Beckett, Lester, Santana, ect...?
  25. Tim Kurchen needs to put the bong down and back away. He was on ESPN tonight saying that you can take anyone of the yanks starters, and they are as good (and matchup great against) as any teams #1 in the league.
