  1. WEEI is talking about that the media the baseball writers of America sent out said "Jose Beckett"............nice job guys!
  2. 2 people left Beckett off the ballet and 1 person left Sabathia off.........exactly what season were these guys watching to not think they were the top?
  3. Who would vote for Beckett 3rd?
  4. Kind of figured it would turn out that way, it could have gone either way. Without that finger 'avulsion' maybe beckett has another win or two that seals it for him.
  5. Just announced on WEEI.....Congrats Dustin!
  6. NFL will toss guys for flagrant hits: http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=3103608
  7. Outstanding!!
  8. I don't remember when it was (last couple months, but don't remember exactly when), but I remember a game where he made a play going to his right and rolled on his left (glove) hand. He stayed down for a sec and you could tell he was in pain....i wonder if this is when it happened or if it just hurt more since it was injured? Either way, it's still amazing!
  9. the coach with the pornstar mustache is at it again: http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=3100835
  10. Exactly, why is this a thread? They get a number 1 pick and sandwich pick from the club that signs him...that's what they want
  11. I don't think he should have said that in the media, but he was right in what he said. The ravens O kept turning the ball over in their territory. It's gotta be pretty frustrating when your O has sucked every year.....how Billick has a job is beyond me!
  12. Exactly, he waited until the pats beat the colts and then come out with this.....he' s just afraid of not being able to drink with his buddies
  13. I completely agree....in fact I think this postseason really cemented it.
  14. Great news, get it done! I heard on WEEI that it's a $6mil base with lots of incentives. I think shill has already said he doesn't want to coach once he's done
  15. Something with the metrodome then becuase yesterday they admitted to pumping in crowd noise during the 90's for the viks games
  16. I don't know or if there was or not, i just heard the tv broadcast. There were several people at the game though that said they heard it and wondered what it was (some on the radio today). I am sure this is the end of it though...there has been speculation for years about the colts doing this and nothing has ever come of it. I guess you really would have to 'catch them in the act' as it's nearly impossible to prove after the fact.
  17. CBS just came out and said it was their fault and not a colt or stadium thing......funny since there were people at the stadium that heard it.
  18. There was def some terrible officiating yesterday, but i don't attribute it ot some conspiracy theory. I think it had more to do with the fact that they were in Indy with a new crew doing the game. There is usually going to be crap calls in a game, but usually they balance on both teams...yesterday the pats just got it all.
  19. In regard to the refs, I can't wait for the weekly segment on NFL network with Mike Pereira where he explains the questionable calls of the past week...that should be entertaining. Anyone know when it's on? I wonder if the pats will get another apology letter from the NFL like they did after the AFCC last year.
  20. To be fair, the penalties were 146-pats and 25-colts. (a franchise high for the pats) Most of the penalties were justified against the pats...but they certainly didn't call it both ways, at least not in the first half (it did seem better in the 2nd half) This crew is pretty new with the head guy in his first year in charge...so it's easy to see how it happened
  21. Polian up to his Shenanigans again: http://www.profootballtalk.com/
  22. Interesting: http://www.profootballtalk.com/2007WeekNineSpecialLiveBlog.htm Not sure if WWW (white wes welker) was talking to the Indy D or the refs
  23. Good game today, much closer than I thought it would be. I knew the refs were going to have a bad day on the challenge by BB....how can 2 refs, both on the line, less than 5 yards away miss that call? Most of the time the bad call with go both ways...ie i can live with the ticky tack calls as long as their going both ways. -The first long PA call was touchy, he def put his hand up there but i don't think it affected the play -The 2nd call on hobbs was garbage; he had position, never touched him, looked for the ball...bad call -Rodney's non-PA call was garbage too, he was brought down with the WR arm around him...should have been an easy call The rest of the penalty's were justified (from what i could see) but I wish the refs would start calling holding on the Indy line....but it's been going on for years without being called so it's nothing new. The run by Addai at the end of the 1st half is just inexcusable...there is no way he should get past our safety's. Going into the 2nd half they showed a replay and it looked like there was a 'block in the back' on the pats that helped spring Addai, but i couldn't see who it was. I think the pats D was falling back on their 'bend but don't' break' philosophy that they have used for years.....and it seemed to work except for the Addai TD at the end of the 1st half. Overall a good game; Indy's got a great D, especially in the dome where their speed makes a difference. I think a Morris/Dillion type runner would have done well today (or anytime against the colts) where they can just pound it into the colts D over and over. Good game, and I am sure we will see this rematch again...only this time hopefully in foxboro!
