  1. You still rock for finding it. Best.Opening Day.Ever
  2. ORS, where is the link to the chart?
  3. I can't find it now! I know somebody has the original Jacko Red Sox versus Yankees analysis chart bookmarked. Please help bring this extraordinary piece of Talksox history and pure comedy gold to the forefront.
  4. I've said it before, The Chart needs to be stickied and given a prominent place at the top of the forum, along with a select few other HOF pieces.
  5. Papelbon isn't irreplaceable, they just haven't replaced him yet. Seriously, although I believe he has peaked, he's still going to be a very legitimate closer for a few years.
  6. AHAHAHA!!!! I actually used to drink at a Bobby V's all the time. In college, I valet parked cars at Milford Jai-Alai. When the performances were over (that's what they called them:dunno:), the whole fronton would empty out and go across the street and close the place. Those were the days, the mid-80's before the casinos, all the NY gamblers would come up and bet big. I'd clear $200 in tips per week easy, live and drink off my tip money, and bank my checks. In the summer, I'd make enough doing carpentry and installing fences to pay my tuition and books for the school year....kids can't do that anymore:thumbdown. [/flashbackmachine]
  7. Well, I was just giving new guy the business there a little. That being said, sure Schilling like to stir it up and get attention. But there are a few differences in my book between him and BV. First, aside from the fact that he's a winner and he delivered, is that he's way brighter than BV. You may disagree with what he says, but it still is very clear and makes sense. And it's tougher to disagree with a guy who has trusted and followed his instincts to so much success. But more than that, he takes responsibility for what he says. BV's "I don't criticize, I just tell the truth" crap is a spineless cop out. No ownership, just a free pass to run his mouth with perceived impunity. So, in my book, not only is he a loud-mouthed opinionated egocentric dullard, he's also a pussy cheap shot artist. I'd take Schilling and his opinion over BV any day.
  8. Oh, and welcome aboard there Laser Show.
  9. Stuff a sock in it. In fact, here's one: http://www.halloffamememorabilia.com/images/products/p-84428-curt-schilling-ultimate-red-sock-2004-8x10-photo-cotg-8mlb-cschi02.jpg
  10. Bottom line, he delivered the goods. We've had a lot of greats over the years we loved, but more than anyone else Schill brought the WS to Boston and risked his career to do it. It will never be forgotten.
  11. He may be an opinionated egoist loudmouth... but he's one who's a two-time 20 game winner with three World Series rings, not a barely .500 manager with one pennant. That's why you listen to what Schilling has to say - he's a winner, he's earned the right to an opinion.
  12. My choice is Butch Hobson. As much as he sucked at 3rd, he hit some absolute bombs. And as a Little League kid watching the games, those bombs always erased the errors in my mind. Afterall, what kid is going to be critical of a launched throw or 12....and boy could he launch them! Then he'd spend a few minutes with his hand on his elbow rearranging his bone chips.
  13. Yep....but if you love smaller boobs http://www.heidiwatney.net/heidi_watney_pictures/Modeling/originals/heidi-watney-bikini-picture.JPG her's are no joke!
  14. Actually, there's video: [youtube=Joba's Accident]qxoa4XlO-_o
  15. Great, so by the time BV is done with him, he'll actually be the basket case I thought he was when he came up.
  16. More like Lysol, right out of the aerosol can.
  17. Do you get Red Sox alerts on your droid?
  18. Exactly, he cheated.
  19. Crunch was from Milford originally and lived in Blackstone Valley. I'm not sure if his place was still in Milford or not. Maybe VA's memory is better than mine.
