1. The biggest thing this team has going for it is they seem to genuinely enjoy playing together and clearly are having fun.
2. Dirty water...... Koji IS the Punk Rock Magician! f*** YOU! I'm fooling you and you don't like it!!!
3. Maybe he should try PX90....
4. Salty just murdered that ball.
5. But that's it in a nutshell, really. They knew the kid was a little shaky mentally, and they knew he had little success as a starter because of pitch limitations. They did know he had some success in a setup role. Look at how valuable guys like Okajima and Timlin were to the Sox. I believed that was his role, and given proper guidance he could have filled it well. Now, oh well.....
6. http://espn.go.com/boston/mlb/story/_/id/9624667/daniel-bard-designated-assignment-boston-red-sox What a waste of a live arm.
7. Really, you would just like to see the Y@nkee$ free of his contract to free up some money in the chase of future free agents.
8. Not a bad move, he has some nasty bite on his pitches....
9. But they should have had a chance, that last minute and one half was a disaster.
10. You rock... Casbah or otherwise.
11. To me, he looks like he has a full-blown case of Steameritis....and it is the 30th anniversary of the first reported case. Stay or go?
12. It should be easy to find a bar showing the B's game anywhere around Fenway South.
13. There may a clause in his contract that allows his release for something like PEDs. My guess is if he contemplated retiring that he'd try to negotiate some sort of buyout.
14. Yes....and he's full-on suck today.
15. He just steered that throw and it sailed badly.
16. OUCH! Right in the nutsack...
17. Good for Clay. The distraction to a hitter worrying about a ball getting loaded is generally more of an edge than actually loading the ball anyway.
18. Under identical conditions, a heavier bat will yield a longer batted ball distance than a lighter one. But bat speed affects the distance the ball travels more than bat weight does, so a heavier bat only yields more distance until your swing begins to slow.
19. A statement like this requires an adjustment to The Chart:
Topic|Team|Content Prospect|Yankees|The player in question is made of 150% pure awesomeness. Fear us. Prospect|Sox|He could be good, but this is why he won't be. Signing|Yankees|This is the missing piece. We'll win 160 games, and the umps will screw us out of 2. Signing|Sox|Risky move, overpaid here, they'll regret this. Injury|Yankees|They don't get hurt. Hypothetically, if they did, the recovery will be speedy with no impact to ability. Injury|Sox|Everyone is a ticking time bomb. Once hurt, they'll never heal right. Any recovery will be due to illegal, performance enhancing drugs.
20. He got right in the groove, too. Excellent ABs all day.
21. It's flat...up, and flat.
22. Dis iz arr FOOOKIN' ceedee!!!
