  1. This isn't a stat junkie perspective. I know what I see. They project Miggy at 24 as most likely a DH or 1B in very few years time. We don't need another DH. I've seen Mo Vaughn. The rumblings are so much rumor as to his work ethic, but you can't argue w/ his waistline. It's sabermetric in it's proportions. Yeah..5 tool guy. Also an injury risk waiting to happen. His success has come in the NL. Let the MFY's make another asinine decision and leave the Harrington moves in the past. No thank you. We have a superstar in the making. Get back to me in a year when we are all applauding that we didn't make a move for a bloated overpriced albatross and have a CF for the ages. I'll stand by my position and if I'm wrong...I'm wrong. But, I ain't.
  2. I'm not articulate enough to repeat what Rician (and he'll always be CF to me) said, but that explains it EXACTLY for me. It doesn't need to be reiterated.
  3. Ellsbury should be untouchable. I can't think of anyone in the game I would trade him for. No one. He's faster than Ichiro down the line. He changes the complexion of the game every time he's at bat. He creates errors by otherwise sure-handed third baseman by his presence. Without him, we don't win this World Series. We have a potential unstoppable 1-2 for years to come. No thank you to anyone else...not fat Miggy. Not a soul. I'm starting to have an odd faith in this ownership group that they "GET IT" by the mere fact they seem to be serious in bringing back 38 and Lowell. Any mention of trading J.E. gives me hallucinations and flashbacks to the Gorman years. This kid is a superstar in the making. He's untouchable and anyone who thinks otherwise hasn't lived long enough on this earth.
  4. I didn't get the PM PC. That place is screwed. Piece of crap server and their ads. I am going to be in Boston this weekend. Headed to The Cape. I'm going to be...let's just say busy.
  5. Had a 9:15am appt with an attorney...I woke up at 10:17...frantic throwing on of clothes and the old standby my car wouldn't start and she bought it...I thought of I've got the MRSA virus, malaria, the 24 hour Ebola, I just gave birth, Mormon's attacked my home, I fought the law and the law won....in the space of a minute and the old car wouldn't start worked. I've got a Toyota...they never don't start, but the attorney isn't that swift. Ooof. I could have been arrested for a DUI even at that late point. My job doesn't give a f***. I'm a government employee. Lawyers I fear.
  6. Probably not very successfully with the white sneakers circa 1977. I think he just came back from a Nugent concert. Again...circa 1977.
  7. I'm as cynical as you'll get...I'm also 11 years old w/ this team. Group hug. No way anyone can whine right now about anything. I do have to get up in 3 hours and I'm as giddy as a school girl. Unreal.

  9. Yeah....exactly.
  10. Hell ya Chacha...if only ye of little faith had the foresight....I could have used a marshmallow sofa. Congrats to the portly one. No words. Just me jumping up and down. Without heartache is relative..it's always a ride. I may be going to hell in a bucket baby...
  11. My guess is he's a functional illiterate and couldn't spell Brooklyn. Typical of their kind. MWID and not that swift. The Red Sox won the World Series twice in my lifetime. I think I'm going to end all of my meetings with a photo of this fact. My employees will have to get used to it. I'm still trying to wrap my mind around it.
  12. http://forums.nyyfans.com/showthread.php?t=107019&page=26 Shameless, but I couldn't resist.
  13. Ok...I lied. Back to the rituals in full force.
  14. Typical Borass move...worse so for that joke of a network making the announcement in the 8th inning of the World Series. f*** Alex Rodriguez.
  15. Don't worry about it....I called Jeff Gillooly and he's working in the Sox Pen. At the same time, the French Canadian did at one point know how to dispose of N.L. hitters.
  16. She doesn't know you well enough by now? I divorced my ex-husband because he threw a fit when I wanted to watch the MFY's lose to the Marlins. That's partially true but it was typical. It's not necessarily a stereotypical man law type of issue
  17. I'm more confused by my calmness. Sure, I'm basically performing my time-worn rituals, but I think they are mocking me at the moment.
  18. They are thinking that Wang is spectacular in the playoffs and he too would have struck him out.
  19. ig226_sm_07.jpg The first picture is the total lunar eclipse from October 04. The second is the red-tinted smoky moon rising over fire-engulfed Southern California this past week.
  20. Serves you right you went against your other team tonight...I had the ignominy of begging the sports bar I was in to put on the baseball game. Last night, in the Red Neck Riviera I happened upon a pub replete w/ pink hats, native Natickers (not a word) and a die hard owner...odd. Also, a dude who felt it upon himself to explain what a bunt was to me. You can imagine the result of that particular exchange. Withering penis. A lot like Wuthering Heights except w/ less testosterone. The only exciting part of this series is whether MJ can ******** his way out of his WEB MD anaerobic debate. Schooled by a computer guy. Love ya Yaz. For whom the bell tolls...not for me. I'll get up around 11:00. Ain't government grand. That's rhetorical, but I'll still take your money and ya...it's a wonderful day...Rocky Mountain High Colorado John Denver singing kinda great.
