  1. tuff being a proud yankee fan isnt it...sardonic wit isnt your strong suit.
  2. when your 27m guy leaves a small battalion on base and your 16M pitcher cant throw strikes or handle the crisps and the baileys and the cash's of the world its bigger than the gm.
  3. strahan married a jewish girl who has family members including a judge and an attorney his money was taken from him he is getting less than a M from fox,8m in his pocket may entice him to come back
  4. cash has served well,as well as a waiver wire guy can be expected to play
  5. both teams look infinitley beatable but at least we got courage heart and cojones
  6. no runs last inning...coulda been da dagga we're ok.....right? at 43 i shouldnt feel this way,im not sure if the calm pills are working anymore,im turning to port wine and a spleef
  7. y'all gettin ready for mrs frost crotch clintons derailment of the obama machine?
  8. amazin how futile arod can look and at 27m per....id be hiding like a dog. whats ownership to do if they fall bahind the js and arod fizzles out with great#s and a 4th place finish?
  9. ss is a position that theo replaces yearly he couldve had ocab stay,he didnt offer him a nickel theyres about 27M in wasted shortstop money since we signed renteria and plugged lowrie in...
  10. our friend jackson is a doctor what the f*** do they know about being accountable outside paying malpractice juice thru the ass? seriously though, cano and especially wang werent heralded and on the other hand a lot of these big name signees are doomed to failure because it just is that way...nobody in A ball is a guarantee, nobody in AA this time of year is either.. accidents injuries, the joys of wine women drugs and booze lay dormant in all of us,some of us more than others, the key is scouting MLB talent, not AA allstar talent but MLB talent and there is a difference. i couldnt pick a MLB out of a lineup of chinese gymnasts but i can usually tell within their 1st 2 summers if theyre going to make it a career or not...I always liked pavano from day 1( i adore him now) but brian rose and tomo okha both had better AAA #s...Pavano got the 40M
  11. bonds hits baseballs he hasnt been in peak physical condition in 10 yrs with the lefty bats or lack there of in our lineup i dont see how this is a heavy risk
  12. I'd trade either of them for a 14 year old Vietnamese hooker, though. Female, preferably. __________________ im not really a theo guy either,18m owed to julio lugo?? 19M for 1yr of renteria?? matty clement?? the destruction of craig hansen?? there are a lot of positives and winning world series in 4 and 7 will give your fan base some patience
  13. wang, melky and cano have been instrumental in maintaining the yankees and their 2nd team of the east status....if any of us did what he did with that budget and those resources we would be unemployed.
  14. the yankee fan base is described as being a mile wide and an inch deep. i told whoever would listen not a week ago that the yanks will be players in this thing till the end but would probably come up short....i was labeled crazy. so we limp into that flowing cess pool on jerome ave this evening with a 5 game lead over these guys with no beckett and an outfield with 2 banjo hitters and a canuck...our power is coming from guys who have none, our bullpen is sketchy at best and our starters havent been exactly stellar with lester getting his cock knocked off on saturday.... its august 26th and brian cashman is a douchebag theo has 18M left to pay julio lugo but we control our own destiny with more home games than anyone else in baseball ahead of us... we have the advantage over ny today but i am not brimming with confidence in the overall return to the world series.
  15. over under on the giants is 9. its difficult being competetive every year in the nfl, this is why the patriot management team is the cats ass of all sports..
  16. the love affair between kilo and the future mvp of the sox old timers game in 2016 appears somewhat strained.
  17. herniated disks bum quads gimpy hammys tender brittle bones does it matter? if his disk is really herniated hes done for the year,if its something else then its a day to day issue which maybe worse for both the sox and the player.. the guy has always had issues staying on the field and this isnt a mystery or a surprise. hes either snake bitten or is a complete pussy but in any case the bottom line is we cant count on this guy being productive or even helpfull down the stretch and thats that. no tony larussa comments mean s*** to me trot nixon was the tuffest sonofabitch on that club and hed be gone 6 weeks on a swing and miss,he missed 4 months getting hurt while driving to spring training for christsakes. anyways he carried us in june hitting in front of ramirez hes done essentually nothing since im neither surprised or pleased at this moment and the timing just sucks. time to move onto ny and lets do with what we got,we have no choice
  18. i dont know im not of the mindset that these guys going into toronto are good enuff without that lefty bat.
  19. when is enuff enuff? does it matter if you get 150M or 175M or 300M if you have 50M in the bank already?? ny can pay more than all but it isnt for everyone, you still need to get guys who want to play in the bronx. then theres the tax problems, the family issues and the quality of life. these 3 we speak of never played in the bright lights or under intense media scrutiny either some guys thrive on this, others dont give a f*** and yet others dont want themselves or their family members subjected to the Joel Shermans of the world..
  20. trying to catch lightning in a bottle sometimes burns you for every success story like papplebon i can give you a hansen raise you a buckholz and close the deal with....billy rohr...for you guys who are older than dirt
  21. depends on who you ask but ya,i'm certified in that department legally and medically
  22. on the other hand he has never played in as many games as johnny damon is damon tuffer than drew or does damon care more? my point here rather than getting back into the nancy drew charisma from last year is this... with manny gone lowell out and ortiz suffering from a down year i would like him on the field in every game possible. he's a good hitter a decent fielder and a run producer to say the least we need his offense he isnt being replaced by an offensive juggernaut, hes being replaced by coco crisp for chrissakes. unless theres a bone hanging out of his body i would like him on the field0 we arent in the drivers seat,we're a week out of september and are tied for the wildcard with the al east breathing down our backs....by no means are we assured anything as far as playoffs go... i dont mind a guy getting a day off here and there, all these guys are busted up after a 6 month schedule but we need our best on the field or repeating isnt happening,is this guy going to be available down the stretch or what??...a week off in late august is a bitch to absorb these days
  23. they wont get the 3 of them and if anaheim wins it all tex will probably stay there sheets and sabby are a different animal sheets has had a career full of injuries and sabbathia will have thrown 1000 innings in 4 years going into this free agent market....the sox beat the piss out of him in october cause he had nothing left and seeing as how milwaukee will be working him like a haitian migrant and hes 65lbs over weight then it may get him next year.... the sox wont be a player in these guys,i dont see them spending 100M+ on any of them
  24. gee, that soon eh?? dont they have a rug up in toronto?? they may need to sit him till monday as the carpet plays havock with the fragile guys and inspite of what some here think, evidence over his career indicates this guy is fragile.
