    carolina might have more points but i think the senators if they played the hurricanes are the better team. they might not be showing it tonight but one of the reasons is that the dominator is not in net. big break for the bruins tonight not having him in there.

    how did a bruins thread become a NY rangers thread. shouldn't there be a seperate NHL thread for other teams.

    trading manny would absolutely ruin this team that is 6 weeks from spring training. unless the red sox were blown over by an offer they are not moving manny.

    cliff floyd has a no-trade clause to boston. plus i don't think the red sox will make that deal. it is a very considerable downgrade. floyd can never stay healthy for a whole season. he is going to stay with the sox as they can't get equal value for him.

    he is 17 yrs old so I would expect him to open in rookie ball with our Gulf Coast League in Fort Myers. the Lowell affliate is usually for new draft picks that come out of college as it is the short season A-ball.

    who even says the cubs are even looking at him. i think the cubs are going to give every chance for ronny cedeno to start at short. id like to see more teams fighting over his services other than the red sox before i even guarantee 5 mil a season. no other team has been knocking down alex gonzalez door.

    i would have started him over bernie but joe would have been loyal to bernie like he normally is. in boston he would have rotted on the bench.

    5 million is a little too pricey for alex gonzalez. he is a bad hitter who has a career obp of .291. he made 3.4 million last year and sucked with the bat. the red sox better not give him anything close to that. there are no other teams out there knocking down his door. he doesn't deserve anything close to 5 mil a season.

    i wouldn't expect a soxprospects.com scouting report on him soon because none of our regular contributors over there i believe have seen him play yet.

    In Chris Snow's baseball notebook today he says he thinks the red sox will trade wells. if we trade him i want prospects in return.

    plus kapler might not be back to at least july if not longer. that was a real serious injury he had and even though he says he is progressing well i doubt he will be back even by mid season. i hope i am wrong and wish him the best of luck.

    this is a big week for the bruins....monday vs the senators then 2 games against the habs one at home and one in montreal. i will actually be going to the game in montreal. can't wait.

    me too.....gonzalez is not that good of a player where he even deserves more than 2 yr deal at money of 3 million or more.

    the bruins still have the ability to make a deal to add some scoring with raycroft as trade bait when both him and hannu are healthy.

    he would have sat on the bench. in san diego he will be playing much more than he would in either new york or boston.
