Ravens running back Jamal Lewis, who has been informed he won’t be hit with the franchise tag -- thus making him a free agent -- told the Baltimore Sun in Thursday editions that the Patriots are one of four teams he’s interested in joining for a fresh start.
The Cardinals, Packers and Steelers are the other teams. The Patriots have Corey Dillon, Kevin Faulk, Patrick Pass and Earl Charles under contract at running back for 2006.
