  1. belichick can rehabilitate players image. look what he did with dillon. plus if we can get him on the cheap i will take jamal lewis
  2. i would rank him in the red sox top 20 probably between 15-18. he has pretty good upside if he can stay healthy. if he develops properly a #3-4 starter. he did have a frayed labrum which caused him to miss the 2004 pro season.
  3. his injuries are one thing and he has not played in 100 games in the field since 2001 because his range has diminished. the red sox 4th outfielder should be able to play the field something that gonzalez has not been able to do. he is an injury prone player that is nothing more than a DH.
  4. Ravens running back Jamal Lewis, who has been informed he won’t be hit with the franchise tag -- thus making him a free agent -- told the Baltimore Sun in Thursday editions that the Patriots are one of four teams he’s interested in joining for a fresh start. The Cardinals, Packers and Steelers are the other teams. The Patriots have Corey Dillon, Kevin Faulk, Patrick Pass and Earl Charles under contract at running back for 2006.
  5. We have a Dominican academy but we still have not been able to sign the big bonus young guys down there. This summer I believe the red sox will only have a Dominican summer league team and not a Venzuelan summer league team.
  6. you want a backup outfielder that actually can play the field. gonzalez is nothing more than a DH now if he can stay healthy.
  7. i don't know why? he can't play the field and the red sox will not carry a DH on the bench. he is basically useless for a franchise like the red sox. he should just retire.
  8. George going off with the mouth again http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=2341248
  9. probably the best pats fan site on the web...great info on the pats salary cap and future salary cap hits if you are interested. just a well done website for all pats fans.
  10. ya its encouraging but the red sox also have lost some depth through trades which they will need to get back this year with 7 picks in the top 100 and also be bigger players on the international market especially in Latin America where they have struggled recently.
  11. he still has a long way to go until becoming a legitimate prospect but he is heading in the right direction. This year his goal should be to have success in the Gulf Coast league in his first experience in the US.
  12. if he keeps this improvement like he has shown as a 17 yr old in the VSL the sky is the limit with him. he could give the red sox a potential solid pitcher down the road if he develops properly.
  13. he is one of the more interesting pitchers to watch that is way down in the system. that scouting report came from scaffolds at soxprospects.com and he is high on Doubront as he has seen him pitch before.
  14. and besides it was not like a great shortstop was blocking jeter. tony fernandez batted .245 in 1995.
  15. has wells ever done anything about his weight to ever say he will slim down. he will always be his fat self who will usually win 15 games.
  16. he definitely lost weight this year compared to last. if you look at pictures from last year and now its definitely noticeable that schilling lost a good amount of weight. he is still big but schilling has always been big but he just lost alot of the fat he had last year which he gained because he could not work out because he was in a cast all winter.
  17. you can learn how to throw pitches in the minors.....that is where you learn to refine your secondary pitches and learn new ones if possible. hell papelbon didn't know how to throw a splitter until schilling taught him last spring. instead of throwing philips to the curb give the guy some time to refine his secondary pitches. it takes time.....its not an overnight process where he can just learn a new pitch or refine one of his pitches.
  18. in a case like that wright could go to an arbitrator if he believes he is healthy but the yankees do not for the reason of trying to void the contract.
  19. he will be on a big league roster this year if he is healthy regardless if he signed a minor league contract. good hitters like him don't rot away in the minors.
  20. i could care less about what people think of me.
  21. thanks for being a moderator when your not so i won't take your advice
  22. vancouver in 2010.....with hopefully a better constructed roster. USA hockey should be completely embarassed by their performance. they may have made the medal round but they really didn't even deserve to.
  23. ur point?
  24. and taking older players who can't play at a high level anymore.
  25. bye bye canada....no medals for the US or Canada as russia took care of the canadians today
