BC has won 11 of 13 games. If thats not considered hot i don't know what is. I'm not saying they are a guaranteed elite 8 team but they are a team very capable of going on a run to the elite 8.
the red sox were an old team to begin with and had they kept everyone around longterm the team would have shown its age. they are making the right move going younger.
in the NCAA tournament anyone can get hot at the right time. Was West Virginia a top 8 team last year. I don't think so and they ended up making the elite 8. not saying BC will but they are definitely capable of making it that far.
i like BC and I root for them but they are definitely not a final four team. a good team that if hot at the right time is very capable of making the elite eight but that is pretty much it.
say they acquire soriano then to immediately spin him to the mets for milledge and say brian bannister. quite possible considering omars love of latin players and it will give the mets a offensive secondbaseman.
puckett put his numbers up as a centerfielder that is also one of the reasons he got in. mattingly's numbers stacked up with other hall of fame firstbaseman don't even compare.
if the red sox just wanted to get rid of him already they would have done it already but the red sox want value for manny and guess what they should. he doesn't get traded unless value comes back to the red sox.
if he beats out the other two players for the job he makes the team. plain and simple. just because he is a former yankee doesn't mean i want him cut. if he is the best man for the job then i am fine with that.
thats because every other owner will keep that too himself and not blurt it out to the media. henry would have a no comment on if his team was going to win the world series just like every other owner except steinbrenner.
