  1. It will be a matter of whether one of the teams can catch fire and separate itself from the pack.
  2. Nava's awareness on the basepaths is atrocious. He has pulled more than his share of rocks on the bases.
  3. I don't know what Bradley will turn out to be. He is clearly in a developmental stage. I doubt that he will become the player that Ellsbury became. I just don't see that set of tools in the kid's bag. Clearly, our offensive problem at this stage of the season is that we have replaced our #1 hitter who was an offensive catalyst and the biggest base running threat in baseball except for Billy Hamilton with a #9 hitter. That much is as clear as the nose on your face. We can sit here and debate whether or not his contract is worth it, but that is not the point. The point is that his leaving is really having a big negative impact on our offense to this point in the season. No one has been able to step up to fill that void as of yet.
  4. This team just can't get in gear to go on a tear. Their longest winning streak has been 2 games.
  5. Risky play by Barton. Wow!!
  6. Can we get this guy in? He should let bradley hit away. He has been one of the few who has done well with RISP.
  7. The idea of walking Donaldson was to get out the lefty shitbag Moss and not to pitch to their other good hitter Cespoedes. I have to replay the IF hit to see if Middlebrooks had the force at home. it was the easier throw.
  8. Capuano s*** the bed two days in a row.
  9. Donaldson is a very good hitter. I agree with this walk.
  10. Xander should have busted it out of the box and gone for 2 on Coco puff's arm. He never would have gotten him.
  11. He was going to become human at some point. Last season was some sort of Joe Hardy deal with the devil type season for a reliever. He's still really effective, but last year's performance is impossible to match.
  12. Why do we have this Willie Harris clone, because of his versatility in that there are several positions and things that he does poorly?
  13. Brilliant game tactics on display. Farrell, stick to playing with your lips in the dugout. You'll do less damage that way.
  14. Players that can't put the ball in play annoy me. What the hell was the purpose of the safety squeeze? He gets the bunt down and it accomplishes nothing.
  15. Just put the ball in play!!
  16. Thank you Fenway and New England spring weather.
  17. Nice blast by AJ. He's solid.
  18. No, he was out. Upheld.
  19. Ted Williams used to say that pitchers were the dumbest of animals. It will take the league a while to figure out that Tex is back, and he will do a lot of damage before they figure it out.
  20. Sox fans love to bash horseface Texeira, but he is looking like the old Tex. The old Tex was a force.
  21. Ortiz should not bother bringing a bat to home plate today. The opposition would be crazy to pitch to him.
