  1. Not his fault. There were unforeseeable consequences beyond his control. It's a freak thing. It's not like he ever finished last before this. Oh, wait...
  2. Sudden Sam. He burned out quickly, but he was spectular for a short time.
  3. Masterson is in the process of taking an axe to this game.
  4. That is the difference between hustle and Hanley. Marusnick got hit pretty solid on the elbow. He didn't jump around and grab his elbow waiting for the trainer to rub it and give it a kiss. He popped up and ran like a bat out if he'll and kept going when he noticed our slugvof a leftfielder sauntering after the ball. Did you see Hanley make that catch at the end of the 3rd inning where he went to the ground and looked like a turtle stuck on his back. This LF experiment has to end.
  5. Our plus defense on display again. Two runs scoring on a stolen base. Oye!
  6. Good job! You are giving me a vocabulary lesson.
  7. I am so glad that Wade Miley gave Johnson advice. I wonder if the advice was "hey kid, don't suck like me". Farrell should just keep these kids away from our suck-ass veterans. Miley could only dream of having Johnson's curveball.
  8. Orsillo's replacement is all excited. This is the first multi run inning and lead that he has announced. He got all excited on Papi's fly out.
  9. Bogaerts is really learning how to handle the bat.
  10. Two runs and working on more this inning. I am getting excited.
  11. I think you meant "sensibilities" above. The off season thread will start much earlier than last year.
  12. That last one that was hit was a hanger, but his curve ball does remind me of Bruce Hurst's curve.
  13. You should have started a discussion thread about the rotation. That would have generated a good deal of spirited friendly debate.
  14. no stats were needed to know that the pitching and D would be a problem, just some knowledge of the personnel.
  15. His intellect is so massive that he is beyond our comprehension.
  16. Oh goodie, Joe Kelly gets the start tomorrow night. And Daniel Nava is back. We are on our way!
  17. I am looking forward Seeing Johnson and Velasquez pitch.
  18. You criticized me, not the other way around. Don't personalize the mockery. You are not the only one holding the views that I sarcastically mocked. Many hold those views, and I can't think of anyone who held all of those views. I was just throwing out all of the excuses that I have read with which I disagree.
  19. Oh get on the Whambulence.
  20. It is an optical illusion.
  21. Ben is not a victim, nor is he any more of a puppet than any other GM. He is simply not a good GM. He is a great example of the Peter Principle. He was a great understudy, but he can't handle the job. maybe Theo can use him in Chicago to get his coffee.
  22. Not Ben's fault. The fans made him do it! LOL!! He is the victim of terrible horrible luck. Who could have predicted that Masterson would be this bad after losing 7 or 8 mph of velocity or that Buch would get injured or that a guy that never played the OF would be a bad Outfielder, or that Ortiz really is closing in on 40 years old? No one could have foreseen these things. It's an enigma wrapped in a riddle inside a twinkie that Panda ate.
  23. Sometimes the most obvious solution is the correct solution. Even if Ben is not the cause, firing him can't have a worse result than finishing last.
  24. He is an awful manager and he is on his way to his 4 last place finish in his 5 years of managing 2 different teams.
