  1. Bradley hitting .104 swings on 3-0 count. Ridiculous! This is what I mean when I say that the frustration goes beyond the losing. They dont play the game the right way.
  2. Hanley has been a huge disappointment overall.
  3. He needs to go, even if we get nothing in return. He' s not going to be here next season, so what us the point of him taking up a roster spot.
  4. He is not hitting this year. He is hitting Right handed pitching for a .155 batting average.
  5. Camera is picking up Cafardo in the stands. Great seats!
  6. Welcome to the big leagues, kid. Sincerely, Big Papi David Ortiz
  7. Baseball is big business, but they have some ridiculous rules that affect their finances. They would be better off if they could re-establish some value for him. Economically, they would be better off trading most of his salary. That would save more than they would save on the luxury tax attributable to his salary.
  8. Bradley is hitting under .100. He can not handle big league pitching.
  9. I agree. He has no value in AAA.
  10. We are going to trash this kid, and we will use that joke of a right field porch to knock him out.
  11. Thanks for deleting yours. I am banking on my mojo from the only victory that we have had against recently when ER beat Nova at Fenway.
  12. Rookie Luis Severino vs. knuckleballer Steven Wright. Go Red Sox!
  13. to say we gave him away would be an understatement, because when you give something away you don't get 2 piles of stinking garbage that you can't dispose of.
  14. Lots of teams have FO openings at high levels-- Red Sox, Tigers, and Angels.
  15. Rays claimed Daniel Nava.
  16. We haven't played a meaningful game since April and to make matters worse, they almost never play good baseball. They play sloppy, stupid, embarrassing baseball. That is what last place is all about-- the fans have nothing entertaining, fun or interesting for an entire year. Stringing three years together in a 4 year span is pathetic.
  17. Dan has a good track record. Compared to him Ben is an understudy. Ben is clearly and completely incompetent. I keep hearing about our highly rated farm system, but did Ben bring in any of those guys. Also, I still think that there is a lack of depth of good arms in the system. This organization is just terrible at finding and developing pitchers.
  18. They have to stop making bad decisions.
  19. Dombrowski has been fired by the Tigers.
  20. It is a very close community. These guys usually land on their feet in some capacity at another organization.
  21. I was hoping to see what the 3 kids had the rest of the season and was hoping that one possibly 2 could play significant role in 2016. It looks like we are down to watching only 2. I don't see that the FO has any recourse but to rebuild the staff from outside the organization.
  22. You can't make it to the playoffs with 2 rookies in the rotation at the start of the season. I think people here envisioned all of those rookies in the rotation because the rotation that broke camp was so bad that we had no chance of competing with them. They also had almost no chance of getting through the season as a unit.
  23. If the Queen had balls, she would be the King.
  24. I like to call this the "but if" defense which is really a weak argument, because it is based on projected consequences to hypothetical circumstances. In this case, the argument is "but if Porcello had been good and we hadn't signed him, you guys would be mad." That's a double or triple hypothetical. Hypothetically, if Porcello had been good. We can end the argument right there, because he hasn't been good so we can't get to the other hypothetical that the Red Sox didn't sign him after the good season. Also, I don't know how that is the only conclusion to be drawn if he had a good year. Why wouldn't we sign him? I thought he was the young arm that the FO coveted. Then after getting through two levels of hypotheticals -- one that hasn't happened and one that we don't know the answer to, we are left with the prediction/projection of the emotions of others based on an analogy to our reaction to the Lester situation. Well that is a bad analogy, because Lester is a much better pitcher than Porcello and he had been very successful in Boston. These arguments are silly and weak rationalizations of what was clearly and simply a very bad move by the organization.
