    MLB runs the game today to make the players and the management happy. The walk up music, various dugout celebrations, hideous city connect uniforms and the replacement of the announcing crews to celebrate women, None of this is for the enjoyment of the fans. Then they wonder why the game is waning in popularity.

    Is the prevailing attitude that Story will not be back in 26 and that Bregman will be opting out? Maybe Mayer is ready to step in full time at SS, but losing Bregman would hurt. Also, I am not a big fan of handing 1B back to Casas.

    DD took a lot of criticism for emptying out (pillaging)the farm system, but looking back after 6 years, he really didn’t sacrifice the future at all. Most of the guys he parted with were not very good. At best a few were meh, not foundational pieces.

    I wouldn’t call the Devers trade selling. We got nothing of value in return. We didn’t build the farm system with that move. It was simply a salary dump.

    This lineup without Bregman or Devers is a very low producing group. I don’t even know who the guy is playing 3B. Our lead off hitter is a journeyman platoon guy. Our cleanup hitter is a cast off catcher from the Yankees. The lineup is not at all threatening.

    Here’s a novel idea. Maybe putting some good players around him will boost his attitude and performance.

    Buehler is a bust. Another $25 million up in smoke. I don’t understand the FO’s addiction to surgically repaired pitchers. And the best one who was finally fully recovered, they traded for a minor leaguer whose career is disappearing who is blocked in the IF by better players. And why is it that none of the cowardly GMs will bring back Trevor Bauer. There isn’t an Al Davis in the whole group…. Or Boss George.

    This whole fiasco is on the front office. The communication was botched as badly as could be. And now they have compounded this by trading their most productive bat for bupkis. Maybe Harrison needs TJ surgery so he can joint the bridge club with the other invalids. I can’t remember a season where the FO has throw.n in the towel earlier than June 15th. Was Giollito a Breslow move? He should be fired for that.
