Porcello is a #4. He is a sinkerballer who has found a liking for the Home Run ball since we got him. I am not going to hold my breath waiting for him to pitch like a #2. Last year he pitched like a #6. He has a useful role to fill in the 4th slot, and if things break the right way and he pitches like a #3, I will genuflect, bless myself and give thanks.

It's not too early to make a judgment about the rotation. If you wait too long, you can find your self in a desperate situation like last year. ERod if healthy has the potential to pitch like a #2, but that is not a sure thing. Buch will pitch only through June.Let's not kid ourselves. Porcello is a #4/5 with a possibility of a #3 if everything falls into place for him. He is not a #2.

Tampa has a very weak lineup. Hopefully, our starters can chew up some innings against them. Well it looks like brittle Kelly will start his stint on the DL pretty soon.

We need Good Buch this season, and today we got Great Buch. The lineup without Ortiz and Holt but with Young was flat, but people will make the excuse about how dominant Happ was. Eyeroll. Shaw is just flat out earning his spot on this team every single game. He can play 1B and 3B more than adequately. He can hit RHP and LHP. He is a good everyday player. Koji looks like there is nothing left in his tank. His first pitch was 79 mph and he threw other non-breaking balls at 81 mph. Most concerning is that he has always been a strike throwing machine. His ball to strike ratio was pathetic today. Dumbass Farrell put Kimbrell in a tight spot from which he did not escape. -
