  1. You would be wrong. No one thought he was toast last night after 7-- just wouldn't have used him with the big lead. Get your facts straight.
  2. If he wasn't such a douche about having to be the closer, he would be worth picking up for the league minimum.
  3. The lead was big enough after 7 innings that William Shatner could have pitched an inning and we still would have won.
  4. Our pen doesn't have bullets, just rubber bands. Price's bullets are far more important. And JF is an idiot, even for a manager.
  5. The move didn't cost us the game, and I was not worried that leaving him in would cost us the game. The big lead was probably bullpen proof, and I would be concerned how much a game like last night in that oppressive weather would take out of him in his next start.
  6. I hope that it is one of those long rebuilds.
  7. Even the YES announcers were surprised. Hold it together man. You f***ed with the guy all year long and now you are crying. Act like a man.
  8. If Buch's new mindset works, we still need JF to get a new mind.
  9. Second half? Cherry picking. Small sample size. 38 games -- take your pick.
  10. Exacttly. Iglesias is an example of a guy who found something in his offensive game. He didn't find Ted Williams to hit .400, but he figured out how to produce enough to be an every day SS in the bigs. He hurt us badly in our last series against the Tigers.
  11. Do you have the appropriate operator's license?
  12. Agreed. He will not hit .360 for the rest of his career or even the rest of the season, but for him hitting .260 with an OBP of 3.25 would be a big turnaround and enough to keep him in the big leagues. It is not as much of a long shot as you might think.
  13. And he can't throw.
  14. I wasn't there, but I saw that Shatner bounced the first pitch, went to the catcher got the ball and went back for another try. On the second try, he threw a strike.
  15. Why the hell is Girardi crying about ARod in the Press Conference? He is crying more than ARod did.
  16. 110+ pitches in 100 degree temperature in a 9-3 game ? 2 outs in the 8th. Why keep him in.?
  17. Me too. It is about 95 degrees and he was looking a little gassed in the 7th. Ortiz's bat is heating up.
  18. Except when they fall on their asses or lose the ball in the lights to lose the game.
  19. They call it flu like symptoms. LOL!! Now I know why the 8th worst base runner in baseball went second to home so fast -- because he had to go!
  20. Don't joke. We need that dwarf. He is the spark. I hope that he is okay.
  21. 8-2. Is this case Price/Farrell/Pigpen --proof?
  22. He had to hit that ball a long way to score the 8th worst base runner in baseball from 2nd base.
  23. Wow ! Two three run bombs for Hanley!!!
  24. 3-2!! Three run bullet by Hanley!
  25. How many dead teams have the Red Sox revived on home stands? We revivedthe White Sox -- coming within an extra-inning game of getting swept 4 games. We brought the Tigers back into the Wild Card chase, and lost 3 of 4 to the Twinkies. Now we lose to the Yankees who have waved the white flag on the season. Next up, the D'Backs.
