    I am never happy about losing, and I still think Bloom s*** the bed at the Trading Deadline, but I am very happy that we had a competitive season instead of falling off a cliff

    Because it is really a low percentage play to put on a hit and run with a hitter who strikes out one-third of the time with a runner with 14 steals in his career.

    So you prefer the strike’em out throw’em out DP? Even if the Dugo succeeds in the SB, that puts men on 2nd and 3rd with 2 out for Dalbec (who you have concluded is hopeless). It was a low percentage play, that wouldn’t have helped us much even if it had succeeded with a SB.

    Shaw strikes out about once every 3 ABs and Houston has Maldonado in for defense. It was a stupid play, period.

    The game isn’t over, and i still think the chances of the Red Sox getting 2 + runs is good — better than our bullpen keeping a lid on the Stros offense.

    There’s no arguing that. The Stros have neutralized our strength which is our hitting, but now we are battling them with our weakness ( our bullpen).
