    6 innings 3 runs is a QS, but 8 innings and 4 runs is not a QS. Both are a 4.5 ERA. I’d rather have a guy who could go 8 innings. 9 innings and 4 runs is better than a QS on every level. I think that we should change the pitching categories next season.

    I don’t like quality starts either. For all of its shortcomings, Wins are tougher to get than Quality Starts. Most SPs have more QS than Wins.

    I don’t mind stats, but please keep Alex Speier off Red Sox telecasts. He adds nothing and is undeserving of the cool nickname that Eck dropped on him. It’s snooze fest time when he is on.
