    But my Gawd, the impending cliff!! Things could come crashing down in 2021. I don't think I can live through having a last place team. Oh.... wait ...I have lived through 3 of them in 4 years under the stewardship of Benny the Boob. I heard that he is the best Coffee Boy/Gopher the Blue jays have had. The coffee is always hot.

    Kendrick gave up 7 ER for Pawtucket tonight. He will contribute nothing to the big club.

    We go against the O's tomorrow and Machado has been 0-18 and struck out 6 times in the last 2 nights. Hopefully, he stays cold. When he breaks out, he will break out in a big way.

    Japanese pitchers seem to follow a pattern of falling off a cliff after being dominant for a 2 or 3 years. Maybe it takes batters in the US longer to adjust to them and then they have a hard time of making counter adjustments after being dominant for an extended period. I don't know. There has not been any discussion or rumors of arm trouble with Tanaka in NY. None that I have heard or read.

    I like what Pom gave us in his last start and what he has done so far tonight, but he is one of those guys that seems to give runs back after his team gets him some runs.

    Renteria made the smart move getting Pelfrey out of the game, but it backfired on him.

    Renteria pulled Pelfrey before the inevitable implosion. The bullben gives him a better chance.

    I saw too much of him when he pitched for the Mets. The fans and the media used to make fun of his habit of licking his hands as soon as he would get into trouble. Sometimes it looked ridiculous. He would look really good for 3 innings sometimes, but then he would fall apart completely. He should be reaching his expiration date in this game rapidly .

    I think you are right that Kapler did hurt himself on someone else's Home Run, but he was running hard not knowing if the ball was out of the park. That is my recollection. JD was just in a normal Home Run trot.

    I would need to watch each of them in person, preferably from an outfield seat, for a series or two, preferably against each before I would offer an opinion ranking them in order. I haven't seen Kiermaier in person, but based on what I have seen on TV, I do consider him to be top shelf with Bradley and Pillar. As to who is best or a ranking of the three, I would expect the differences to be minor, and I am not sure the differences between the 3 of the very best would be very meaningful or that anyone's opinion or any data measure would be definitive.

    I don't mind Hawk. There are worse homers in other booths, and he isn't a horrible listen.
