  1. Someone should have yelled first base too. Another failure on that play. It comes back to coaching.
  2. Nope. He is looking at the 3B coach who should have both hands held high stopping the runner.
  3. And I am tired about listening about how hard 3B coach Butterball works. Hard work means nothing if it is stupid work. Were his hands up to stop Moreland from making the last out at 3B in the first inning?
  4. I don't care who made the mistake. There is too much stupidity on the bases and in the field and the blame lies at the feet of Farrell.
  5. Our fielding and base running continues to be mindless. This isn't a function of randomness. It is a function of poor coaching. Farrell needs to go.
  6. And it would have been a bang bang play with the runner moving. The play was at first base, but Marrero didn't do his job either.
  7. Also a mistake by Marrero, but stupid fat man should have gone to first base with the throw.
  8. More stupid base running -- a Farrell team Hallmark.
  9. He is probably pressing by now, because he has probably never been through a slump like this. If he doesn't break out of this slump soon, he will not have to worry about cutting his hair because it will start falling out.
  10. With the tying run at the plate in the 8th inning, it was the highest percentage move to bring in the hammer. Kelly is much more prone to give up a home run ball.
  11. Last spring you called it right when he hurt his knee at the beginning of spring training. You feared that it would be a lost season for him, and it was just that. A knee problem for a pitcher is significant. A pitcher needs healthy pins, especially a starting pitcher.
  12. Good to see Price back pitching like an ace.
  13. It is time for him to get some hits.
  14. Sir, that record has Enigma written all over it.
  15. Good point. It seems that the Oriole hitters are enjoying the warmer weather, and our fellas think it is still April.
  16. Betts didn't leave much room for improvement. What did you expect 35 HRs and 130 RBI and 30 SB each year?
  17. Well, if he wasn't built up as the next Yaz or Freddie Lynn people wouldn't be so disappointed.
  18. The kid went down like a sack of s*** in the bullpen.
  19. Remdawg:: What is becoming obvious is the absence of David Ortiz.
  20. I have just been playing devil's advocate. The same people who want to deem in game managing as insignificant are really struggling to make a case to keep field managers. I would like to point out that instilling and reinforcing fundamentals is an on-field in-game function. Anyone who has coached at any level knows that. It is a part and parcel of in-game management.
  21. I am not saying that we should seek another Kimbrel. I am just saying that he is a very rare performer. Even if you wanted to blow the budget, I am not sure that a Kimbrel would be available in 2019. He is that good.
  22. While Kimbrel may not be dominant Kimbrel in 2018, I don't think he can easily be replaced. This guy's career has been off the charts excellent.
