  1. Just to be clear. ERod has not pitched badly and should be out of this inning. That being said. He needs to get tough here.
  2. Neither he nor Hanley can catch pop ups on that right side.
  3. Tough luck for ERod. Pedroia has that easily. Lot's of air under it. Should have let Betts take it.
  4. I am lumping in the coaching staff.
  5. And another out on the bases. We are saving CC's very fat ass tonight. We have been resurrecting his career this season.
  6. Maybe it was my conversation with Youk. We were trying to remember the name of the slick fielder that filled in for Nomar while he was injured in 2004. LOL!
  7. Hopefully, Fat-ass-ia's pitches turn into balloons this inning
  8. Hey Spud, that was the name we couldn't think of Pokey Reese! LOL!
  9. It is a rookie mistake, but I don't think the coaching staff works on the issue. They chalk it up to aggressiveness on the bases.
  10. Benintendi cost us at least one run in that inning.
  11. it can happen. My old boss who is Anthony Reali's dad was at a Yankee-Pirates game years ago. When the game started, my boss said that he thought Randazzo would give the Yankees a call before the night was out. Sure enough, on what was very clear to the naked eye, the Pirates had appeared to have turned a game ending ending double play. Randazzo called the runner safe. He was out by at least half of a step. The Yankees rallied and won. We asked my boss how he could make such a prediction. He told us that Randazzo s family had just opened an Italian American Sports Museum and Steinbrenner sent them a $50,000 donation. I was seething mad about it.
  12. Yankee fans in NY central!
  13. Giving up these outs on the bases could cost us a big inning.
  14. Nice slide, but stupid base running with no one out.
  15. He's a known choker.
  16. Bogaerts takes 3 breaking pitches.
  17. Is he dealing with a hand issue, or is just having trouble recognizing and hitting sliders?
  18. If he hurt his arm helping that woman, I will be very upset. NYers don't expect anyone to help them.
  19. I will be happy with a split this weekend against the Yankee as that should end their Division hopes. Anything more than a split and I will be jumping for joy. If we lose the first game, TalkSox needs to press MVP into service.
  20. If you don't know how to read me, I will set you straight, but don't tell me what I am saying after I correct you. That's annoying. Porcello has had trouble with the HR ball since we got him. He gave up a fair # last year too. That is his Achilles heel. And I will make sport of that. Humor is good. Mentioning that doesn't equate to him having a bad night. In the inning when he had the bases loaded, I said nothing negative. I said that he would have to get tough to get out of it. I also bemoaned that it would be nice if one of those groundballs were hit at someone. None of that is a criticism.
  21. Neither Reed nor Kimbrel were available tonight.
  22. I am not very confident when we don't have kimbrel taking the ball in the 9th inning, but this lead should be secure.
