    Do you remember that pitcher who came up from AAA and had a good couple of starts and the went on the DL because he cut his back rolling out of bed onto a drinking glass. I don't think he ever pitched again for the Red Sox. That just didn't add up.

    It has nothing to do with sabremetrics. I am fine with that even the fringe stuff about lineups not mattering or managers moves don't matter, although i will mock it from time to time. I am not proposing a purge of statheads. LOL!! Not at all.

    That is not it at all. I just don't like posters who make every post about taking on posters instead of talking about baseball (and BTW they usually get their facts wrong about what other posters have said). That doesn't make for good discussion, but thanks for illustrating my point.

    IMO, the Yankees have to win tonight for Girardi to come back. He is going to take the blame for not advancing if the lose tonight.

    It can get emptier. You have to give the fans something to watch. Giving up a wrecking ball like Stanton (their only player putting asses in the seats) for minor leaguers would drop their attendance to 1979 Oakland A's levels.
