    Jacko has not been paying attention this season. He was not worried about Verlander who is a seasoned veteran Cy Young pitcher who has been on an incredible run. He obviously has been rejuvenated after the trade and he has been mowing down teams as good as he ever has. Brian McCaan was money in this series. He stuck it to his former team with relish. That was a hell of a play at the plate tonight. On the other hand, Sanchez whiffed on several key plays at the plate in this series.

    He is a wasted asset. He was never going to be a good defensive catcher and that is where his value lied. Once the Red Sox decided to go with Vasquez as the future catcher, they should have maximized Swihart's value by trading him. It's too lat for that.

    The key to beating CC is to get him early. I would have the first 3 guys bunt on him. They are all very fast. Make him get his fat body off the mound to get the ball and twist and throw. That could affect his gimpy legs and it will definitely piss him off.

    That's right. I forgot that Theo is infallible. He will leave the Cubs right before he drives them over a cliff and let others take the blame.

    Lester isn't getting any younger. Arrieta will be 32 next season and has been figured out by the league. Lackey is 38 and at the end. It is time for Ben to come in and blow up their rotation.

    They are my 2 most hated teams. The Yankee hate is obvious. I hate the Dodgers, because I grew up in Brooklyn and they broke my Dad's heart when they moved and they deprived me of my home town team 2 years before I was born. I probably will not watch a Yankee- Dodgers World Series, but I am rooting for our old friend, Dave Roberts.

    It just fits the personality profile of DD that this was announced so quickly -- faster than normal accepted practice. If he makes any big acquisitions, I would expect him to complete the acquisitions before Thanksgiving.
