  1. A nice paid vacation for the suits and their families.
  2. This is a bit hyperbolic and hyperventilating. Breath into a paper bag for a minute. No one on here criticized Blooms depth moves. They were identified for what they are— nothing moves. It seems that you cannot come to grips with the track records of Bloom and Ben Cherries (both of whom were at the helm of 2022 last place clubs) versus the laudable record of DD’s career.
  3. In the end, the fans will tell Henry when it is time for Bloom to go. Look at least year’s attendance— a fairly substantial drop from the last 10 years. People will not continue to fill the ballpark for a last place team. Their business model of high payroll and the highest ticket prices is not sustainable by 5 last place finishes in 7 years.
  4. Those bloated contracts with almost zero return like Sandoval’s and HanRam’s. edit: And I forgot Mr 0 return Rusney Castillo!
  5. And if DD had done that over the course of his career, he’d have been out of Baseball along time ago.
  6. No, about the grass being greener, but yes to back to back World Series. If Click is just like Bloom, he does it much better.
  7. You are what your record says that you are, and DD’s record has always been great. Bloom should have been thrown overboard for the Astros Champion GM, but 2023 has to be his last chance.
  8. That’s right. In DD’s 4 seasons, he won 3 consecutive Divisions, including a World Championship that was the best season in team history. All 4 seasons under DD were winning seasons. In the other 7 seasons sandwiching DD’s tenure, there were 5 last place seasons: 2012 2014 2015 2020 2022 Five of seven seasons they finished LAST. That is not sustainable. That is worse than the team’s run in the early 1960’s
  9. The only sustainable success in the last 10 years was during DD’s 4 seasons.
  10. The pandemic is supposedly over, but almost everyone I know had their holiday impacted by COVID. Will this scourge ever go away!
  11. COVID cut our Thanksgiving guest list by more than half! One person got COVID but he was responsible for bringing 3 others from out of state. Thankfully, my son took a lot of leftovers, because we still have food for days. The pies we had were gigantic. I fear that i will bring on diabetes if I continue eating them.
  12. I really cant find my way to describing the 2022 Red Sox as “exciting”.
  13. These moves don’t upset me. They are nothing moves. They wouldn’t make the editing cut if I ran MLBTR:
  14. I don’t think that I have ever complained about FA spending.
  15. Happy Thanksgiving to all of Talksox!
  16. I could reduce my blood pressure medication if they DFA him.
  17. I don’t know where you saw that word, but that would be interesting.
  18. This is the process of building a roster.
  19. Trust the genius.
  20. It was a nothing move and the guy stinks. I called the move for what it is. I didn’t pass judgment on the entire off season. Calm down.
  21. You clearly don’t understand the process of a genius in building a team.
  22. Now, I really like this acquisition. Three years of Joely. A jolly jolly good time.
  23. It is funny how people get so twisted over any criticism of Bloom’s moves.
  24. I guess the FO is concerned about being buried in paperwork if they leave these Dollar Store acquisitions until later in the offseason when we are making consequential signings. An acquisition like this could distract Bloom from deciding whether to pursue Bogey, Swanson or Correa.
  25. We an use him when 3 lefties are coming up.
