    The kid has deceptive power. I saw him hit 2 Homers in ST with a very easy swing that looked like he was just trying to make contact.

    This middle-older age baseball men crying stuff was started by Joe Torre. IMO these guys are going into some sort of senile dementia that makes them very sentimental. When Robbie was a young man he probably would have pulled that guy off the field by his ear and lectured him in the club house. At these first signs of senile sentimentality, they should be forced to resign.

    Yes, that's my MO. Don't you know that by now. I am still laughing about his 10 foot little cheapie official scorer gift hit. If the Yankee press didn't act like school girls with a crush on Jeter, they would have scored it properly and he would have gotten #2000 a couple of innings later--a hit he could be proud of. Yes, I want to congratulate PD on his swinging bunt error called a cheapie hit #2000. BTW: The field is under water.

    Oh, I am sorry I must have missed the clean hit. My eyes saw a squib that the 3B threw into the stands, and when the throw went by 1st, Jeter was still a full step away. Silly me to question the home town call. If it had been ARod, the NY press and fans would have crucified him and taken away a hit. BTW I think DJ would probably like to remember a cleaner hit when he looks at that ball in years to come.
