I missed Coco's hit. When I came back in the room the A's announcers were talking about someone's hand. The said he'd have some time to shake it off. Were they talking about Coco's hand?

Based on his whining behavior, this is clearly not a realistic possibility. He's looking for love wherever he can find it.

ARod is still whining. When told that former Mayor Giuliani said that fans should be supporting ARod, ARod said that he felt that people were supporting him but that people expect a lot from him. He could have stopped right there, and the whining would have been minimal, but he couldn't stop the whining. He went on to analogize his situation to Tiger Woods not making the cut at the US Open. He said that a lot of people threw Tiger under the bus after that, but he came back to win the British Open. I don't remember anyone throwing Tiger under the bus for missing the cut. People realized that it was his first tournament since his father passed away, and that he was still in mourning. Apparently, ARod views himself as being thrown under the bus. Would someone just hand this big sissy a handkerchief and tell him to go have a good cry.

In 1995 he hit over .300 with a .425 OBP. The next year his power production went up. In 1997 he got injured and was out of the game. I think there was a strong possibility that he would have become an All Star.

How would they use him? Who would sit for him to play? I think that it is more likely that he is trade bait if they can get a team to part with a top starter.

SS is his natural position. He has played there his entire life. It's like second nature for him. If he went back to SS, he would n't be obsessing about his footwork and arm angle, because he could just rely on the muscle memory that he developed over 20+ years of palying the position since childhood. It might allow him to clear his mind and just perform.

I am just curious how many Yankee fans on these boards are also Mets fans. Can someone post a pole? I live in NY, and the people that tell me they root for both the Yankees and the Mets usually know nothing about baseball and never watch a game. 26, do you also root for the Rangers and the Islanders?

I guess you got me. I'm not really a Red Sox fan. Traveling to SOx Spring Training every year, going to Philly, Fla, and Baltimore to see away games this year, it's all been a cover. I've been lying to myself all along. Listening to staticky radio stations for years before there was an MLB package and going to Fenway for 39 years was just an excuse for my true passion -- hating the Yankees. Do you realize the ridiculousness of your theory? Your posts would be laughable if the amount of personal animus in the posts wasn't so disturbing.
