    Everyone who I know who has moved south from The Northeast and New England never consider moving back despite any complaints about their new home states. The Northeast winters are the reason.

    Algae bloom and the Lake run off are the bigger problems and lots of money is going into fixing those issue. The stakes for that are high and immediate.

    That is certainly true in certain areas of FL, but I don't think values have skyrocketed statewide, but I have not studied this. It is just a general impression.

    I don't think that there is an exact correlation, but would agree that FL prices would uptick, just not 3x. BTW, Are you still considering relocating to FL?

    I think there is a better chance of Mejia closing than most would think. I suggested to Dewey that we could let Mejia close until he gets busted again and then get Kimbrel mid-season. I was partly kidding.

    Are you saying that Florida would also experience a similar 3x price increase from relocations, or that the number of relocations to FL from MA would increase?

    True. I omitted that, because i think that it is a very bad economic idea, except in certain dire economic circumstances. Also, access to equity loans have been tightened and they are supposed to be used to improve the home.

    It is incredible that a guy making $330 million could feel that he is underpaid.

    An increase in property value is only a good thing if you are looking to sell and move to a lower cost region.

    I don't think that Kimbrel will sit out an entire year. If the Red Sox start out with a bullpen by committee and it blows up, I think there is a good chance that DD signs Kimbrel for 1 year.

    Our TalkSox contingent had a great time at the last two Red Sox games, and the Red Sox got back on the winning track. We were sitting two rows in front of Remy and OB and few rows behind DD, LaRussa and Eck. Iortiz and Dewey scored autographs from Eck, Remy and OB. Iortiz got Remy’s attention with an enthusiastic “Buenas Tardes!” just a few minutes before the live broadcast. It was a lot of fun watching the games with these guys. I am going home on Monday and looking forward to the regular season.
