    The Red Sox are a much better team than the Reds and he had won 10 or more games for the Red Sox in the past two seasons. There is no reason to believe that he would n't have done so again. That being said, I would still have done the Wily Mo trade.

    I like the Wily Mo trade, but to be fair and accurate, we only have 2 pitchers with 10 wins, and unless Wakefield comes back and wins a couple of games, no one else has a chance to win 10.

    Former Sox fan favorite, Bronson Arroyo finally won his 10th game after a long drought. He's right on target to be what he is a steady but unspectacular starter that takes the ball every 5 days and gives his team between 10 and 15 wins each year.

    They can't bring them both up. Who would get cut? They can't cut or send down two pitchers? Breslow is history, but I thought Foulke would replace him. Which pitcher gets DFA'd? Snyder? I guess they might wait until the rosters are expanded to call up Carlos Pena.

    None of us wanted Shea H when he became available, but he is a much better hitter than the one year ROY wonder, Hinske. Cripes! If you are going to waste money, they should've gotten Lieber yesterday and started him on Friday instead of the "Ultimate Loser." This FO doesn't have a plan or a direction. Maybe Steve Avery is available.

    How much is Wells getting for each win? $ is a great motivator. I hope he is getting $250 k for each win. That should have him pumped up.

    Why would we want this guy? We need pitching. He's got a huge contract-- something like 5.6 million next year. If you were going to take a salary dump, I would have rather spent 3 times as much to get a guy that can play like Abreu, not a piece of garbage like Hinske. This is a position player that is the equivalent of the jason Johnson acquisition. We just picked up someone else's garbage. And we got Carlos Pena too???? :wtf:

    Jon Lieber with a 5 hit complete gtame shutout against the Mets tonight. The Phils were looking to give him away. He would have been a huge upgrade over "The Ultimate Loser" I know that he still has some big bucks on his contract, but that apparently doesn't mean anything to the Sox who are looking at an overpaid loser like Eric Hinske.

    Nice inning by Hansen. BTW KC is kicking the stuffing out of the Pale Hose. It's 7-0 in the bottom of the 6th. All 7 runs were off Contreras.

    Except for Wells, all of our other pitchers are hell-bent on letting the first batter reach in every inning.
