I never said the Guardians offense sucked. I was critical of the lineup that they put out against the Unit in a particular game, because I felt that it was not a very good lineup. As usual you take my comments out of context. The fact that I would have wanted kennedy in a particular game or series, doesn't mean that I would value Kennedy more than Kendrick, who does have special tools. Kennedy has shown the ability to get big hits in big games against the Sox and the Yankees. In a big game today against a top RHP, I would fear Kennedy more than Kendrick. I expect that could change in the near future. That is not a flip flop. It is just an acknowledgment that Kendrick is still developing. Finally, while I know that I am not always right. You have shown an uncanny ability to be wrong almost all the time.

In ST, my comments about Papelbon were that he should have started the season in the pen, because I had feared that 200+ inning could damage the kid. I got a lot of argument about that. We even went so far as to predict his number of innings. I predicted a maximum of 130-140. No one predicted lower. I don't know how you could consider that to be negative. I guess if someone disagrees with your assessment of a player, you consider that to be a negative comment. I did say that Lester was not major league ready, and I did not think he would be major league ready this year, maybe not even in 2007. How many people think he belongs in the majors right now? You have just described Loretta, but he has done these things at the ML level. Pedroia has avg speed, avg arm, below avg. power and avg. range. In other words, he is nothing special.

Kennedy also hits the s*** out of Red Sox and Yankee pitching. I like experienced accomplished players, not older players simply for experience sake.

I'm sorry that I called him a midget, but he is not 5'9". I don't pretend to be a scout, but I can tell a special player from the rest of the pack. He has no special skills. He may end up being a good MIF, but not a special MIF. Obviously, I am hoping that he succeeds, because he has been anointed as the next FT 2B. I just think that giving him the job without making him earn it at the ML level is a mistake. Again, you are mistaken, because I don't root against our guys -- never have and never will (not in the regular season). Just because I may be right when I say that a guy sucks (e.g. Seanez), that doesn't mean that I am rooting against them. So far, I am totally unimpressed with this new midget middle-infielder. I'm not seeing any special tools. Rookies without special tools should not displace experienced veterans, but that's just me. A rookie should have some special tools to win a starting job.
