  1. Wedge will watch this game slip slide away.
  2. Get Sabathia up. Byrd's wings are ready to fall off.
  3. or even with Joba. He didn't look too good last night.
  4. Jacko, you seem despondent. First of all, Paul Byrd is on the mound, so a comeback is quite probable. If I were Wedge, I'd be warming up Sabathia about now.
  5. Moose is at 65 pitches. This year his pitches have turned into pumpkins at the 75 pitch mark.
  6. Who will follow Moose?
  7. If he were Clemens, he'd grab his hammy and walk off the field.
  8. Moose over 50 pitches in 2 innings with 3 walks. He's got nothing. He won't be on the hill for long tonight.
  9. Shoppach witha gap shot. Bad news for Moose. He must have crappy stuff.
  10. Moose holds serve. That doesn't bode well. This game will keep slipping away from Cleveland until the Yankee thunder busts it open.
  11. Assuming Bucholz can stay in the rotation all year with Becket and Dice K, Who are your other two starters?
  12. Cleveland needs to keep scoring.
  13. Wedge is throwing this game away by starting this bum. He can't throw everything on the corners. Eventually he gets torched on a ball that catches too much plate.
  14. Here comes the Yankee offense. For all the talking by the announcers about how Byrd knows how to pitch, he's got nothing. He's BP.
  15. Wang s*** the bed again. In any comparison to Beckett, Wang comes up way short. As Torre walked to the mound the term "Dead Men Walking" came to mind.
  16. The Guardians will need much more than 2 runs.
  17. Wang is leaving his pitches up. Martinez just missed a high change-up.
  18. If Buehrle or Zambrano was available, I'd have preferred to put the money towards a younger established arm. Most of the big name pitchers have re-signed with their teams. There is really no impact pitcher available on the FA market. Schilling will attract a lot of attention due to the lack of available pitchers. In the end, he will get more than the $13 million/year he was asking for in Spring Training. If he walks, we are left with Beckett, Dice K, and 3 question marks. We all love this kid Bucholz, but we really don't know if he is ready to hold down the third or fourth rotation spot for the entire season. Lester is a question mark, and Wakefield has been showing a tendency to break down the last two years with back problems. I think the Sox need to re-sign Schilling.
  19. The better argument is that Wang will benefit from opposing Byrd who has lost something like 7 in a row against the Yanks.
