I'm glad we gave up the superior defense for the additional offense that Lugo brings. Since we let OCab walk each new SS has been a progressive step down. If it keeps going like this, in a couple of years we'll have a guy playing SS with one arm.

The Guardians handled this inning the right way. They got the first two out and put Mann and Ortiz on first and second where they can't hurt them.

McCarver jumping on Manny, but he couldn't score from 2nd on what Lowell did so STFU. When Jeter had a case of the giggles (twice) when the Yankees were behind 4-0 in their elimination game, no one said a thing, and he hit only .170 something. If Manny was giggling, everyone would be incensed.

He's an ass. last night he went on and on about Manny. .. something that was completely irrelevant to the outcome of the game. It's no wonder he got fired after one year in Florida. I hope the Yankees hire him.

Unless they were going to make him sit on the bench naked, he's an idiot for turning it down. They haven't wanted him there for the last couple of years and he didn't walk away. What changed now that he walked away other than the money?

Does any other manager make as much as $5 million/year? Torre was an idiot to turn down this deal.
