The building from within actually happened before 95-96. It happened while the Boss was away on his lifetime ban. The Yankees had the luxury of the Boss being out of the picture and the Red Sox sucking in the early '90's (the dark Butch Hobson era). The Red Sox are very, very good and should be contending for division titles into the foreseeable future, so the Yankees will no doubt make a number of "win-now" moves at the expense of prospects.

Manny and Ortiz are a combined 1 for 15 over the last couple of games. You know what that means. Someone's gonna pay. I wouldn't want to be Aaron Cook tomorrow night. Also, if Lester wins the clincher after coming back from cancer, that would be the stuff that you read in Hollywood scripts.
