  1. Can you say "youth movement" and "third place." I think that is what you will be looking at. It will be even funnier if he takes less money than the Yankees were thinking of offering. He hated Ny, the fickle fans that booed him, the petty Captain, the Captain's bootlicking Manager, the steroid bloated first baseman that had the nerve to call him out after sweeping the Red Sox in 2006. Good for him. He stuck it right up their arrogant asses.
  2. Is that the only pitch Kielty has seen in the WS? If so, what a thrill!
  3. Timlin the ageless wonder. He can still throw and his experience allows him to perform in these huge games when other pitchers s*** themselves.
  4. If this report is accurate, it is pretty funny. Yankee fans just keep getting kicked in the Balls.
  5. Lowell has been money all year. He has picked up the other two bangers every time. I just shifted into my couch position from the 3rd inning last night.
  6. I had a similar issue in game 6 of the ALCS. I was going to bed after game 5 and was planning my weekend in my head. I asked my wife if we were going to dinner with our friends on Friday. She told me that would be Saturday. I told her that I had mentioned that games 6 and 7 would be Saturday and Sunday. Then she said "well, can't you miss one game?" My head was about to explode. I reminded her that I was in Ft. Myers for the first Spring Training game and had watched almost every inning of every regular season game including two trips to Baltimoe and two weekend trips to Boston. I told her that she'd have to cancel. Well, it wasn't a pleasant experience. A female friend explained to me that the seemingly innocent episodes like talking during a clinching game etc. is the way some women express their subconscious thoughts that baseball should not have such importance to us. Their gender has issues, and you are in a no-win situation.
  7. Terry, leave the kid in for one more batter.
  8. What's the point. The 2004 team mad Curt Leskanic a lifelong New England hero. I don't know if this 2007 team will do the same for Kyle Snyder.
  9. Maybe. Maybe not.
  10. I would have bet the Over in this game and lost my shirt.
  11. Manny 0 for 8 against Cook. Not too many pitchers can make that boast. Not many at all.
  12. It's really amazing what these two pitchers are doing so far tonight.
  13. Nice play by Cook. The play at the pitcher's feet is the toughest play.
  14. At least one more. It's time for Manny to show Cook that he is the Head Chef.
  15. We'll probably need 3 innings from the pen. Who is available and for how long? I have to think MDC and Papelbon are available. MDC scares me. Any chance of a Gagne sighting or is he still at the Boston DMV?
  16. Do you think they are saying "we have the much better young talent and a bright future."
  17. Did anyone see the two douche bags in the Yankee hats cheering after the Ellsbury strike out? What are they cheering about? Did the Yankees name a new manager? Did ARod extend his contract? I can't imagine what they have to cheer about.
