  1. Weaver's pitch count is high. We could get him out of there soon and win this game if we put a major leaguer on the mound. Lugo is hitting like I remember when he was on Tampa.
  2. Okay. Enough of this Bush leaguer. Go get Tavarez. This guy brings back bad memories from 2006. Please get a major leaguer on the mound.
  3. I disagree. I think Girardi is a dope. He had some pretty good young players on Fla.--- Hanley Ramirez, Uggla, Miggy Cabrera. He was no miracle worker.
  4. How do you say this guy's name ...Paul--ee or Pahlee?
  5. If they start to stretch him out now, he wouldn't be ready until the middle of May. Take him out of the bullpen now, and this team might as well throw in the towel. The next 4 weeks would be abysmal without Joba in the pen.
  6. We really can't complain about him. He's hiitng over .300. He's got good speed. He can beat out bunts, play small ball and steal bases. Additionally, he can play a pretty good SS. Lowrie has a good future, but not as a starter on this years team. Maybe he can take Cora's spot. He's definitely an offensive upgrade.
  7. Let's hope that we don't have to use 4 relievers again.
  8. Thanks for the link. It was quite a blast.
  9. Kennedy, the other rookie prodigy starting pitcher for the Yankees took his turn at s***ing the bed tonight. He wasn't able to get out of the 3rd inning and his ERA is 9.64. He and Hughes are a formidable 1-2 punch.
  10. Yes, they had the shift on. When he dove for the ball, he was already in short RF. It would have been tough for him to throw out Papi if he picked it up cleanly. He was pretty far out and he dove to his backhand. When the ball trickled away, it rolled behind him allowing Pedroia to score. Pedroia got a good read and a good jump off second base.
  11. Dice K let his team down last night. They put up big numbers for him and he couldn't go 6 or 7. That was not a good showing by him, and his lack of command continues to concern me. Hopefully, Lester can give us some innings tonight. Back to back nights of needing more than 3 innings from the pen will put a hurt on those guys.
  12. Maybe they will be good, but as they go through their growing pains your season will go down the toilet. You don't have enough consistent veteran's to take up the slack.
  13. I like having them both. Play the hot hand, because both seem to be inconsistent.
  14. Lugo had a surprisingly good year in the field last year. In the past, his problem had been throwing, but last year he was very consistent, especially with his throws. This year he seems to have gone back to his pre-2007 fielding.
  15. In that last inning you could see that the kid isn't yet very consistent in the field. I like him a lot, but Lugo hasn't lost his job yet. It will be interesting to see if he gets a few more hits tomorrow when he plays for Pedroia.
  16. Thuuuh Yankees Loooose!!! Thuuuh Yankees Loooose!!!
  17. I love what Casey can do with the bat, but he runs funny and slow.
  18. But he is better than expected:lol:
  19. Nevermind. He sucks.
  20. Aardvark has been a very pleasant surprise thus far. He throws some major heat.
