  1. Thisn idiot looking RP for the Tigers Bautista just walked the bases full in the 8th inning with Jeter up annd 2 outs and now he hits Jeter to force in a run. I don't know what Leland is waiting for. He can't throw a strike. He finally makes the pitching change.
  2. Welcome aboard Dustball. Hopefully, this season will be an enjoyable ride.
  3. Very exciting game! Very encouraging to see Lester step it up and go toe to toe with one of the true aces in the game. It was an impressive outing. Hopefully, this will be a turning point in the kid's development.
  4. Big time play from the little man!!!
  5. PR for Tek with Ellsbury and steal 2nd.
  6. This is the Lester that I heard about and read about, but I never saw him command like this. Hopefully they can manufacture a run here and bring in Papelbon to save the win.
  7. Hughes ERA is back up to 9. He will be at risk of getting sent to the minors after the next game or two.
  8. What happened to Drew?
  9. This guy Hughes sucks. The Yankee fans are talking about growing pains? He's got anal fissure from taking it up the ass from every offense he faces. Him and Kennedy for Santana? No brainer, baby!
  10. Good call by Girardi getting him out after 5 innings.
  11. Moose was lucky to get out of that with only 2 runs.
  12. Moose is at 69 pitches. In the next 10 pitches, his ball will turn into a big melon.
  13. You can put it in your signature or frame it and hang it on your wall. I have always believed that the Yankees are never dead until they stop breathing and even then they need to be stabbed twice in the heart just to make sure. However, I think only the most delusional of die hard Yankee fans and the most scarred, paranoid Red Sox fans think the 2008 Yankees have a shot at anything. Now, I am not talking smack that the Red Sox will repeat. That will prove to be very difficult, and if we need to rely too heavily on too many rookies, we will probably fall short. That being said. Your team has lots of problems.
  14. No Ortiz, no Lowell, no Casey. It's good to see that we have a good future with the kids, but they are no replacement for the big guns.
  15. Manny with the straight steal! He was motoring, but I hate to see that because of the potential for injury.
  16. If anyone needs starting pitching, I've got plenty of it. I have 7 pitchers with 3 or more Quality Starts. 6 of the 7 have ERA's in the 3's or lower. I need a guy that can get me some saves on a regular basis and I need any everday player that steals some bases. Make me some offers.
  17. Torre always went to his horses when he smelled a win. He left a lot pitchers on the side of the road after he ruined their arms and careers. Quantrill, Sturtze, Gordon, and Proctor are just a few. He was always careful to take care of Mo because he was the money. When he burned out a guy, the GM went to get more middle relief for him. It was because of his pattern of use (abuse?) of the bullpen that the Yankees had to implement "Joba Rules" to keep Torre from abusing him. This was a winning formula for Torre. Go for the throat when you smell blood, and more often than not, he won. Girardi is willing to sacrifice today for tomorrow, and that would be okay if he had a dominant team, but he doesn't.
  18. It was great to get a complete game, but the ump cost him the game.
  19. It was an obvious blown call even with the naked eye.
  20. Bottom half of the order for the sox this inning.
  21. He would have been out of the inning.
