Not a bad job by Hansen. He had a tough start giving up the single to Berkman, but Berkman is one of the toughest hitters in either league.

Bill, I don't know where you come up with this stuff or how you have the time, but thanks.

I don't think Okajima is a major concern. He's not lights out like last year, but he will still be a very valuable contributor to the bullpen. The challenge for Tito an his coaches is to find the role where he helps the team the most. Right now it does not look like that role will be as the 8th inning guy in pressure games.

We just need him to hit .250 with 12-15 HRs.

That was some AB for Cash. He hit that one a long way after fouling off some pitches. He's earned some additional playing time, and the rest couldn't hurt Tek.

Coco is hitting some bombs tonight.

The bloom is off Rasner's rose as he has been getting hammered lately. He's been wrecking my Fantasy team. I am releasing him tonight. I can hardly weight (sp) to see Ponson. The good news for Yankee fans is that Cano may finally have found his swing. BTW Jeter continues to perform offensively like Lugo.

Nice 1 run save by Papelbon. Good move putting Youk in for defense. That was a bit of a tricky scoop on that last throw from Lowell.
  9. a700hitter
That's like a double, because Tek ca't throw him out.
  10. a700hitter
    Don't put him on!

I was thinking that their manager was stupid for pitching to Lowell with an open base and Varitek on deck. Go figure. Coco crushed that ball. It would have been out of Cincinnati's ballpark.

The Sean Casey suspension is hurting us tonight. The rookie Moss (an OFer) is a big step down from a .370 hitter. Hits, never mind runs, have been hard to come by.

I don't see Kendrick as much of an upgrade over Castillo or Kent, plus he never seems to play a full season. As for Byrnes, before he was DL'd, he was having a terrible season. My outfielders are good. Byrnes wouldn't crack my outfield.

The yankees should just bring up the whole AAA team. That would be the right thing to do. They should be able to help them win the 27th ring.

Nighty night Yankee fans. Your streaking Yankees have picked up a whole game in the L column since they got hot. Too bad.

Youk's second HR of the game and the Sox are able to beat Miles and Kennedy.
  18. a700hitter
He left him the whole plate to slide at. I thought Lowell just hit that ball out to lead off the inning
  19. a700hitter
Wow, Varitek saw that big guy coming his way and he braced himself for the hit and went low so that he would go over him. That was a very nice play by varitek and Drew.
  20. a700hitter
Hansen needs to hold them in the top of the 12th so Pedroia can end it with a HR into the Monstah seats.
  21. a700hitter
    This is just ridiculous.
  22. a700hitter
Cora with the weak AB. That's two opportunities with a man on third and less than 2 outs, where the batter didn't get it done.
  23. a700hitter
Time to end this game. i am getting hungry and want to go out to eat.
  24. a700hitter
Hanson ends the threat with a 3 pitch swinging K.
  25. a700hitter
Here's Miles again. At least he didn't drive home the game winner with that infield hit. He's got 5 hits on the day.
