    I feel like taking a leave from my job and going to Fla until 2009 is over. This is going to suck. Watch for a news story about a crazed Red Sox fan killing family members at Thanksgiving Dinner on Long Island. That will be me.

    I hope Pedro hangs it up. It's obvious that he can't pitch back to back starts (even with an extra days rest) without a big dropoff in stuff. The greatness is gone. I hate seeing him be mediocre.

    If I was a reporter, I'd respect their private lives and family. However, the story has been covered by a writer, and now that it is out there, the internet has no limits or boundaries. The Yankees have made a story of his crippled retarded looking father in the scooter, so he is fair game too. It would give me a good laugh if he got drunk at a game, popped a wheelie and fell out of his scooter.

    Lester, Buchholz, Dice K and Tazawa is not a good rotation. Unless Beckett can be replaced with a top tier pitcher, he should be re-signed.

    The Stadium being torn down was built in 1976. Pardon me for not getting nostalgic about a 33 year old building. It would have been cool if they could have done a controlled demolition.

    Not only are the Philly pitchers on normal rest, Pedro got extra rest (5 days).

    Too bad. He wanted so much to play in NY. It goes along with the territory.

    He over-analyzes everything. That's not meant as a shot. It's not a bad thing.

    Pedro will have an extra day of rest. He'll have 5 days of rest. My recollection is that his record with an extra day of rest is awesome. Of course, none of those pre-surgery numbers mean anything relative to a post-surgery Pedro, but the extra day should help him. Three days rest for Pettitte has to be a concern.

    If the Phils eek out a run in the 2 1/3 innings to tie it, then the yanks will go to extra innings with no guns in the pen. If that were to happen and the yanks were to lose the series in the 10th innings with Mo in the clubhouse, Girardi would get crucified.

    Look at the bright side. If the Yankees blow this series, it will probably not be their biggest WS choke. If I was a Yankee fan, I would not be worried about the team choking. I'd be concerned that Girardi could panic in these last two games if things go bad for Pettitte at the start of game 6.

    I didn't know Mantle. However, the thought of my prick cousin throwing up for days or a week or so makes laugh. 1960 might have been considered a fluke if game 7 had been tied all game and Maz got lucky, but those are not the facts. They had a 3 run lead to start the bottom of the 8th and a 2-run lead with 2 outs in the 8th of a deciding game 7.
