Gardenhire is into his act. He mixing and matching and no doubt in the process of blowing another game to the Yankees.

Kubel hit a grand slam off Mo? Great news!! It's really Gardenhire time. Let him work his magic. Someone should tackle him in the dugout and promote the bat-boy to manage the last two innings.

Then DFA him so that he can leave on a high note. f***ing bum.

    Terrible AB by Ortiz there.

The problem is tha Cleveland figured out that his offense suffers if he catches too much. Rotating at first base with Youk moving to third base is out of the question, because of Beltre-- another reason why his acquisition was ill-advised.

He's going to hit 30 bombs and knock in more than 90 runs. That is something they need desperately. They need to get Victor "the turtle" Martinez on track or drop him to the 6th slot in the order until he gets hot. Look at the games that this team has given away with poor fundamentals, stupidity, and bad third base coaching. Change the out come of those games and the Sox are in the tick of contending. Good teams don't lose by giving away games. The coaching staff has to take the hit for those games.

Yanks and Rays are both winning late in their games. By the end of the day, they could be 8 games behind the Rays and 7 behind the Yanks in the loss column on May 16th, with two games coming up against the Yanks. Slip sliding away. Edit: Tampa is actually losing in the 7th inning to Seattle and Cliff Lee. Hopefully, they can hold on.

They are not a good road team. When they have a late inning lead, like last night, they have to lock it down. Good teams do. This team is yet to demonstrate that they are a good team.

Not instigating, but he looks pretty sucky today. Beckett-like, but no one ever wants to criticize him. I don't get it.

Glad that I activated Van Every today.

    Ace-like performance so far today?

It did not need to be an either/or choice. Getting Lackey did not preclude getting Bay.

    Terrible fielding by Lackey.

Why did Tito remove Delcarmen in the middle of an inning on Saturday night? He has been pitching well, and he goes to Schoenweiss to get a critical LH hitter. Memo to Tito and Theo, Schoenweiss sucks. The Mets let him walk away. If he is on the roster at all (which he should not be), he should never be brought in to pitch in a critical situation..never. Memo 2 to Tito and Theo, switch the 1st and 3rd base coaches. Bogar has lost two games by sending runners home to their death, and this last time he got Pedroia injured. He is not worth the risk. Make the switch. It cost nothing. It may hurt Bogar's self -esteem, but who gives a f***. His confidence is irrelevant to the Sox winning games.

    Was it a strike?
