The Yankee lineup is s*** tonight. They have 4 hitters in the lineup. If we can't beat them tonight, we've got problems, but I also don't have a good feeling about this game. A couple of 3 run bombs by Ortiz would make me feel much better. -
Switching the third base and first base coaches costs nothing, doesn't mortgage the future and can help save games. They say that the difference between a good manager and a bad one is maybe 5 games in the standing. A third base coach that costs you two games before the middle of May should not be given the opportunity to blow any more games. Swap the coaches. It's a no brainer.

The problem is tha Cleveland figured out that his offense suffers if he catches too much. Rotating at first base with Youk moving to third base is out of the question, because of Beltre-- another reason why his acquisition was ill-advised.

He's going to hit 30 bombs and knock in more than 90 runs. That is something they need desperately. They need to get Victor "the turtle" Martinez on track or drop him to the 6th slot in the order until he gets hot. Look at the games that this team has given away with poor fundamentals, stupidity, and bad third base coaching. Change the out come of those games and the Sox are in the tick of contending. Good teams don't lose by giving away games. The coaching staff has to take the hit for those games.

Yanks and Rays are both winning late in their games. By the end of the day, they could be 8 games behind the Rays and 7 behind the Yanks in the loss column on May 16th, with two games coming up against the Yanks. Slip sliding away. Edit: Tampa is actually losing in the 7th inning to Seattle and Cliff Lee. Hopefully, they can hold on.

They are not a good road team. When they have a late inning lead, like last night, they have to lock it down. Good teams do. This team is yet to demonstrate that they are a good team.
