    I honestly would not mind losing the money in the first round.

    It's a terrible position to be in, but we may be better off if the Yanks win. They will not be compelled to spend and the Sox may feel some urgency to close the gap. The Yankees winning will still make me miserable, so I will make some large bets on them to make myself feel better if they win.

    Crawford is a game-changing star. The two negatives that he has for the Sox are that he is left-handed and we don't have enough potent Righty bats. Also, if he wants six years, what will the speed part of his game be like by the end of 6 years. Speed and stolen bases is a huge part of his game. How long will he be the speed weapon that he currently is?

    Please ship Coello and Nava and all the other Independent league garbage back to the Independent league or to Japan as a Thank you for Dice K. I really hope we never see Coello at Fenway again unless he is in street clothes and he buys a ticket.

    Why do we waste our time with guys like Coello? We actually sent scouts to see him pitch in the Independent league? What a waste of resources!

    If Doji wants to take credit for discovering this guy, no one will argue with him. He is not as good as Mprgan Burkhart who was a highly touted Independent League discovery about 10 years ago. At least he had some pop. This guy really stinks. After his first week, he has done almost nothing.

    So they are going to follow up Lester's quality start with trash from the Independent league. Embarrassing. I thought we had an organization full of top prospects, so why are we picking through the dumpster at Fenway.

    Nava had a rare hit tonight. He's been hitting .163 since July 15th with no extra base hits. He may suck worse than Patterson.

    I agree that fundamentals were lacking on this team.

    It would also guarantee that it would be the World Series with the lowest TV ratings by far.

    Papelbon has had his worst season and his highest blown save total (7). Bard has emerged and had a breakout year and yet he has 6 blown saves. That's how good Papelbon's career has been. His worst year is 1 blown save worse than a guy that everyone is raving about.
